I looked over at Dan, hoping he'd have an answer on what I should do. He didnt give me much to work with. Just a shoulder shrug.
I sighed and looked back at Jess. Time to play good cop, bad cop.
"Listen here honey," I got into her face and grabbed a hold of the collar of her shirt. "If I ever see you pull some shit like that again, your out of here, got it?"
Her little body shivered with fear as she nodded her head as quickly as she could. I felt so bad, but I wasnt going to give in that easily.
I turned aroud, seeing Dans shocked face at the way I handled that made me smile a bit.
"Lets go." I hinted on before I broke character.
He let me lead the way, I wasnt even half way up the stairs when Amerie and Melony came running down crazily. Their eyes shown that something serious had happened.
"Is everything alrig-" I began but was interupted by Melony.
"No! Everything upstairs has gone to hell!"
I hurridly made my way back upstairs, pushing everyone out of my way. The house was on fire, and it was attracting a lot of walkers to the house.
"Shit! Everyone! Grab whats important and lets go before the walkers get the idea that were throwing them all a buffet!"
Everyone scattered, going to get their things. As soon as everyone was by the door, we made a run for it. Chopping off zombie heads left and right.
I lifted my knife up in the air to make the blow hit harder for the zombies to die immediately. As I approached another, I lifted up my knife and was about to swing when I head someone scream out,
"No, no! Dont do it!"
The zombie threw its arms up to protect itself from the knife that almost penitrated them.
My face scrunched up confussed as I tried to figure out what the hell was going on. I got into its face, their green eyes shown brightly through the zombie skin she was wearing as a mask. She peeled back the skin and introduced herself.
"My names Isabella, weird introduction. I know." She smiled as she held out her hand.
We didnt have much time to get the hell out of there, so I quickly shook her hand and explained everything. She was smart, she understood what we needed to do.
"I know where to go, follow me." She gestered us to follow. I gave Emily a suspicious look, but it seemed like Emily trusted her by the way she looked so happy to be alive.
After what happened with Jess, newcomers will be watched at every moment.
It seemed like hundreds of zombies poured out into the streets to see the house.
It wasnt long before Isabella stopped at some bamboo looking trees, she ducked inside and opened a small door that lead underground.
How the hell did she find this? It was pretty neat, I had to admit that. But why didnt I know of this? I lived on this street before the zombies happened, and was at Sams house for a little while for shelter but never knew about this awesome tunnel!
"Its not much, but your welcomed to stay." She stated.
"This place is so cool." I responded as I looked at the dirt walls that had wooden beams holding it all up in place.
"Eh, its okay. I have three bedrooms though and I dont mind sharing." She offered up.
Our group felt safe again, even though our small group wasnt on the streets that long, if we didnt find Isabella we would be sleeping in trees or worrying about the monsters.
Maybe Isabella wasnt cruel, mean or vicious, she was offering her home to us!
Dan, Mason and I decided that we could share a room since we were at Sams.
Sam, Em, and Kyle shared with Isabella while the two grown ups and Jess shared the last one. Once we were all settled into our rooms. I felt relieved. The relaxing sensation of being able to lay in a bed another night was amazing. I should cherish these moments, because one day I could go back to sleeping on the cold hard ground, or just some sheets and a pillow. I cuddled up next to Dan as Mason slept on the other side of me, probably feeling like a third wheel, or feeling super awkward.
My mind was racing with thoughts, overthinking, irritating me, taunting me. I hated the way I would over think everything, they only make me sad or worried. I have tried so hard to push the demon thoughts out of my head but they stick to me like a mosquito sucking your blood, they just want to irritate you even more.
The thoughts kept going hours after the boys fell asleep. Dans arms wrapped around my waist as Mason was facing the wall.
I needed some fresh air, I couldnt handle being trapped underground.
Slowly and carefully I manuvered my way out of Dans arms without waking him.
When I had accomplished that, I made my way outside.
Unlocking the door for me was tough. I didnt have any weapons and I was going outside whereo hell was arised upon. I took a deep breath, unlocked it then pushed the door opened.
When I was out, I closed the door behind me. I sat quiety in the cold autumn breeze, waiting for myself to fell tired so I could lay down without my haunting thoughts bothering me.

"I've been watching you guys for a while now." A voice hissed behind my ear.
