Author POV:

"We're here!" Brick yells from up the staircase before walking down the steps with Braxton behind him. "Great," Dexter yells back, and continues his conversation with the Professor until the two men are down in the lab.

"I got the emergency text message that you have figured something out," Brick says, and notices his two brothers in the background sitting down on chairs. "Yes, I wanted to explain this to the three of you only once because I know it won't be easy if I do it more than once." Dexter explain, and Brick looks at Dexter in question before turning to look at the Professor, who already seems to not be able to make eye contact with anyone and looks like his soul had just left his body.

"Alright..." Brick mumbles, and walks over to the empty chairs placed next to his brothers. Brick shrugs and tells Dexter to proceed with his new news.

"You have been double-crossed by your 'wife's'." Dexter quotes the word 'wife' with his fingers and waits for a reaction, but so far it's only confusion. "The girls that the Professor have brought back that day he repaired the machine have not been the Powerpuff girls, they have been replicas of the girls from different dimensions."

The burst of laughter fills the lab room and it makes Dexter jump at first from being startled of the sudden reaction. The three men are laughing in disbelief and make sarcastic jokes of such things could ever exist, but Dexter and the Professor don't seem to find it hilarious and staring at them with a serious look on their faces.

"Oh come on? You can't be serious, there's no such thing as different dimensions existing. If that's true, wouldn't there be another me?" Brick asked, and Dexter coughs before pointing at Braxton.

"Okay, he doesn't count. Braxton is from an evil dimension and we have already decided there was only one other dimension, that has now been destroyed, that's the whole reason they were able to stay here. If the girls weren't from here, wouldn't they start vanishing?" Brick asks, and his brothers seem to agree because it wouldn't make sense if wouldn't start vanishing.

"That's what I thought too, but I have discovered that the girls are so similar to the ones from our universe that the world is getting confused that the girls might be back, it's as if Life can't decide if they're alive or dead. But it's not just that, the reason why the world hasn't decided yet is because they are still with us." Dexter steps closer to Brick and hands him a key.

"Brick, they are alive. Our hero's are still alive, we found them."

Brick gulps, and his hands tremble as he looks down at the key in his hand, "The Professor and I found signals and calls from the girls," Dexter points at the machine that's right next to the Professor, and Brick feels his heart heavy at the moment. "I-"

Braxton places his hand on Brick's shoulder and gives him a look of resurance, Brick sighs heavily and walks over to the turned off machine, he slips in the key and presses the blue button to turn on the machine. It takes a few seconds of silence, and then there it is...

Brick's eyes widened and he doesn't have any words to speak, "It's not much, but it's something for now. we had bigger calls these past few days, but at first we haven't decided what these calls were coming from and from who, but now it's making all sense-" Dexter gets cut off when a punch is connected to his right cheek and he stumbles back onto one of the counters.

"Woah Brick!" "Stop it bro!" "Calm down dude!" everyone right away grabs onto Brick's arms and holds him back, "What the hell is your problem man?!" Dexter yells in anger, his right hand holding onto the counter while his left hand is messaging his face. "How dare you accuse of my wife for being an imposter! I know my wife anywhere, and that's my wife!" Brick yells back, and his eyes glow bright red, "And to think, I almost trusted you!"
