I blinked in the early morning light as my eyes adjusted to it. I had no idea what time it is, but I didn't care. That's all I could say, because it was the truth. All I knew is that finally in months, I could breathe. It had been so long - too long - since I knew what I really wanted, and now once I've figured it out, it felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off of me. I remembered every touch, every kiss, every moment about last night, and it was all pure bliss. Even with the harassment of it all, it was the best night of my life.

I suddenly became aware of the incredible warmth surrounding me and as I woke up more fully, I noticed that it was Dan's arm still stretched out over me protectively and holding me against him while he slept. I was lying against his bare chest, and despite the fact that neither of us were wearing anything but the sheets on the bed... I felt more comfortable than I ever have.

I smiled faintly and stretched my arms out in front of me a little, slouching back into the pillows behind me as I grabbed my hair and pulled it to one side. I very reluctantly moved off of Dan, trying my very hardest not to wake him as I lay on my back, listening to the sound of his light breathing next to me, our heads facing each other; barely centimetres apart. After a few moments I rolled over quietly to check the time, my eyes hardly taking sight of the clock because of the sunlight streaming in through the windows lighting up the specks of dust floating in the air around me. I could barely make it out but I was sure the clock read 12:28. Oops. Have I..I mean, we, really slept in this long? I didn't even know Dan was going to stay over, but I was actually sort of glad by it, I thought as I bit my lip and raised my eyebrows, laughing to myself silently. Or, so I thought until I felt Dan's arm tighten around me slightly as he moaned very quietly in his sleep. I looked back over at the once sleeping guy next to me, only to notice he was now stirred awake, a sleepily half smile and tired eyes looking back at myself.

"Hey...what time is it?" He breathed, squinting his eyes as he furrowed his brow.

"Late enough that we could probably still stay here all day, and it wouldn't make a difference." I replied as I took the bed cover and lifted it over our heads as I sighed, smiling at him underneath the array of sheets above us. He didn't say anything. All he did was smile at me. I returned the favour, moving closer so our bodies were now touching. He took his arm and wrapped it around me, and just as I thought we couldn't get any closer to one another, he pulled me in further, my eyes seeming to close almost on their own. I felt I could just fall back to sleep any minute.

"Violet." He muttered, drawing circle patterns on the small of my back.

"Hmm." I mumbled.

He took a pause for a while as I suddenly became aware of the discontinued motion of touch on my skin. It was as if he was in a mid-thought process. I opened my eyes.

"What is it?"

He moved his head further away from mine, eyes staring deep into my soul. Enough to make me feel intimidated and turn away, but I held the intimate gaze as I watched his lips spread apart.

"I-"

All of a sudden a sharp knocking noise on the front door caused my body to jump out of it's skin, my heart palpitate and the most unfortunate - Dan's speech come to a close.

I lowered my head and pressed it to Dan's chest, chuckling a little as he mimicked my jump motion; I felt his chest vibrate underneath my rested forehead.

"Postman," He laughed. "I'll get it."

I let my own laugh fizzle out into a deep sigh as I latently watched him begin to get up.

"What? Hey! Wait...no. You don't have to get up." I grabbed his floppy arms and brought them closer to me, his body falling forwards a little. "Just leave it." I smiled, wrapping my hands around his neck and kneeling up on the bed so that I could press my lips to his neck, causing him to let out a groan and fall into my body.
