"No..no way Dan, that's so not true.." I disagreed, laughing as I threw my head back. We seemed to have gotten into a some sort of small argument about movies as we walked to the restaurant I was supposed to meet Ashton at at least 20 minutes ago.

"Urmm...yeah, how can you even say that? He laughed as he turned around and started walking backwards so he was facing me.

"We're not friends anymore." I laughed, nudging him on the shoulder as I passed infront of him. He held his hands out to his sides and his mouth went wide, running back up to me.

"So...we're more than friends?" He chuckled.

I gasped at his response, raising my eyebrows at him and lightly hitting his shoulder.

"Shutup." I giggled, turning away from him. He laughed along with me as we came to a sudden stop.

"Anyway..this is the place." I sighed, looking up at the lit up restaurant sign in red lights. He followed my gaze up to the sign as I turned to face him and bite my lip.

"I'll meet you tomorrow like we agreed." He informed, making me blush. Even just a few minutes together walking and I'd already arranged to meet him tomorrow. There was no harm in that..right?

"Yeah..I have your number." I smiled, holding up a piece of paper with his mobile number written down he gave me earlier. I shoved it in my pocket, looking back up to see him inches away from me.

"See you soon." He breathed, looking directly into my vision. I felt myself almost fall into his body as he loomed over me.

"Violet?" I heard behind me causing me to turn abruptly.

"Ash, hi!" I squealed, trying to act my normal, casual self. He turned to the side so he was leaning past me as he began to walk closer to me and Dan.

"Dan? Is that you? Hi mate." He shouted, getting closer to us.

"Hey." I heard Dan quietly reply behind me. Ashton began to approach us but I fortunately stopped the situation I could see was about to happen by quickly waving goodbye to Dan and walking up to Ashton, smiling as we came into contact.

"What's up?" He asked, squinting his eyes at me.

"Nothing.. let's go eat. I'm starving." I replied, gulping as I smiled at him and lead us into the restaurant.

"All this food looks so good!" I smiled, scanning the menu as I took my jacket off and put it on the back of my chair.

Ashton's eyes stayed fixed on me as he sat still in his seat.

"What?" I bluntly asked, looking to the side as I began to feel uncomfortable with his stare.

"You know what." He replied.

"Seriously..no I don't." I exclaimed, putting my menu down on the table.

"Don't play dumb, Violet. I saw what you and Dan were doing out there." He snapped as he pointed to the windows. I looked over to them and shook my head side to side, pursing my lips together.

"What we were doing?" I mimicked.

"That little moment...that thing you were having.." He carried on, using hand movements to try and make his point. "I saw something."

"You didn't see anything. I just met up with a friend and we chatted.thats it." I lied.

"Are you sure about that? Sure there's nothing else going on?"

"What do you want me to say Ash? I blurted, my voice getting louder. "Yes there is something..I don't know what. I mean, come on! You don't even like Jake why does it matter to you?!"

"So there is something!" He laughed. Why was he laughing?

"Will you stop? This isn't funny!"

"I'm just saying...it might not be a good idea.." He trailed off.

"What?"

"You and Dan..if Jake finds out."

"Jake isn't going to find out because there isn't anything to find out. Can we just drop it please." I defended, picking my menu back up as I cleared my throat.

"Okay..but I'm just saying." He replied, taking his coat off.

"Yeah, you made your point."

"Okay, shall we order?" He asked, his eyes glancing at me then down to the menu.

"Yes, please."

"I really needed that." I announced, wiping my mouth with the napkin I was given and leaning back in my chair as I glanced out of the window beside me.

"I'll go and pay." Ashton told as he stood up and smiled at me.

I sighed and sat back up straight as I began to look through my phone and suddenly realising I had one missed message. I clicked on it to see who it was from as I drank the last few drops of my J2o drink.

The caller ID read: Dan.

I smiled to myself as I opened the message, looking around the room as it loaded, seeing Ashton type his pin code into the credit card machine as a waitor held it in his hand. My eyes focused back to my phone as I read the message aloud in my head.

From Dan: hey. I'm bored. what are you doing right now?

I furrowed my brow before typing on my keypad, biting my lip as I pressed send.

To Dan: hi, I just consumed about 1000 calories in one meal and now, I am completely full. out with Ash. you?

I was surprised to feel the device instantly buzz in my hand.

From Dan: haha cool, I'm out with the guys, in the studio, writing some indie rock songs. ;)

The sides of my mouth curled upwards, forming into a smile. I couldn't help but laugh at his sarcasm.

To Dan: ooo exciting what are you writing?

I sighed as I shoved my phone back into my pocket as Ashton walked back up to me.

"Ready to go?" He asked, hooking his coat off the back of his chair.

I nodded as I began to stand up,

grabbing my own jacket off my chair as I felt the phone buzz in my pocket again. I followed Ashton out the restaurant as I quickly checked it again.

From Dan: I'll show you tomorrow. maybe. :)

It made me get butterflies in my stomach every time I thought about meeting up with him tomorrow, I felt like a little kid but I couldn't help it. I looked back up at Ashton as we walked out the front door, quickly typing a message back.

To Dan: I'll look forward to it. :)
