"Violet? Are you done in the bathroom yet?"
"Just a sec!" I yelled back to Ashton, taking another piece of my hair and curling it in the mirror. I decided to go and see Dan play tonight, hopefully...for the best. Ashton finally got it out of me where we were going, but he still didn't know about Dan..well, not everything. I just told him the brief story that we were friends. Friends. That's it.
I curled the last piece of my hair and turned the curling iron off; leaving it at the side of the sink. I took one last glance in the mirror before sighing and opening the door to reveal Ashton stood there smiling at me.
"It's all yours." I smiled back to him, shutting the door behind me as he walked in afterwards.
Once I was downstairs I put everything iny bag that I needed, money, phone, lipstick, mirror..the list was endless. Who knew I actually needed this much stuff? I was going literally across the other road from here, not a trek to the Himalayas. I laughed at my own stupidity, rolling my eyes and taking a few items out. As I did so, I suddenly felt a pair of warm arms wrap around my waist and pulling me closer into his back. Jake.
"You look super hot, babe." He whispered in my ear, lacing his fingers in between my own as he pressed his chest against my back. I felt him smile in the crook of my neck as I turned around myself, looking back up at him and stepping a little back. Was he actually serious? All I was wearing was denim jeans and a simple black top.
"Tha-"
"Just kiss me." He insisted, taking my neck behind his large hand and pulling me in closer. I widened my eyes before leaning in myself, only to be interrupted by footsteps coming down the staircase. I tried to walk back, looking up at Ashton only to be greeted by a slightly disappointed look on his face. I ignored his expression.
"Come on Vi, we better go." He informed.
"Yeah..see you soon Jake." I agreed, smiling at him quickly as Ashton walked down the rest of the stairs. Jake's hand suddenly gripped on to my wrist, stopping me as he unexpectedly twirled me round to face him. The pain from where that guy gripped me the other night had practically gone but it was still there. I tried not to wince, giving him a small smile.
"You're not leaving without kissing me."
I leaned in, giving him a small peck on the lips; obviously not enough. His hand travelled up my back and yet around my neck again, my own arms falling to my sides; unaware of what to do or how to react due to my brother awkwardly waiting at the doorway.
"Jeez, get a room!" He exclaimed.
"Jake..come on." I murmered under his lips, pulling his hands off me. I pushed him off harder than expected, realizing the anger on his face. He heavily breathed in, shoving his hands in his jean pockets and leaning against the wall next to us.
"Have a good time." He mumbled, leaning off the surface and walking away into the living room.
"Oh we will." Ashton added sarcastically, mimicking his voice as he made his hand into a gun shape and pretended to shoot Jake as he walked away. I shook my head and shut my eyes, lightly shoving him as we walked out the door.
"Bye Jake." I shouted from the door way, hearing no reply.
