I catched the bus to meet up with Nina for today, sitting down at the back seats and putting my headphones in my ears. I skipped a few songs on my Ipod before settling on a slow beat, looking out of the window as the bus started moving. I scrolled through my notifications on my phone quickly before focusing on other things in my mind.

I began to think what Nina could possibly want to tell me, knowing her, it would probably be something to do with a TV show or...Oh.

I hope it wasn't anything to do with her family being ill or something..it couldn't be that bad could it? Or..my family? My mum, my brother...

I was just overreacting like I usually do, but I couldn't help it. With everything that has happened lately I just feel I can't relax anymore.

"Umm..are you reading this?" I heard a voice mutter next to me.

I pulled out my headphones as I turned my head to look at who was asking me.

The familiar pair of dark blue eyes were the first thing I had noticed. They softened on his face as I turned around fully, moving to look at the newspaper placed on the seat directly infront of me.

"Hey Dan."

"It's you again! Violet...hi."

I smiled at him before realising the slightly awkward look on his face before his eyes trailed down to the newspaper, reminding me what he had just previously asked.

"Oh, no I'm not reading this."

I grabbed it before handing it over to him. They always have these newspapers and old magazines hanging around at the front of the bus for people to pick up, take to their seat and read the articles if they're feeling bored on the journey I guess. Someone probably just left this one at the back of the bus.

"Thanks." Dan smiled before leaning back over into his seat two spaces away from mine.

I watched him open the pages before looking back out the window at the cars on the road. I shoved my headphones into my bag and settled on listening to the sounds around me. I was nearly at my stop.

I heard Dan clear his throat before turning another page, my mind thinking about if I even heard him enter the bus or if he was already here? I don't even know at the moment, my mind is all over the place.

"Hey, I know you probably don't care..but check this out." Dan suddenly announced.

I turned my head to see him looking down at a page in the newspaper, shuffling down the other seats so he was closer to me.

"I'm in the local paper!" He sarcastically exclaimed, letting out a small chuckle in comparison to mine. His finger pointed to the picture in front of me, my eyes focusing on the printed photograph of the four members in the band, including Dan.

"Oh my god, Dan..this is.."

"I know, cool right? Well...if I do say so myself." He lowly laughed, taking it back off me and began reading the article aloud.

"Listen to this..'Dan, Woody, Will and Kyle. The new indie rock band in town..' I mean we're not even indie rock."

I laughed before letting my eyes fall down to the newspaper pages on Dan's knees, noticing him and the band didn't have a name.

"Have you decided on a name yet?"

"No..I haven't, Bastille is probably what I was thinking of going for though, thanks to you." Dan answered, running his hand through his hair as he gave me a smile.

I returned the favour before looking at the picture again, skim reading the small article below it. I let my eyes focus on the picture of the four guys. Guy with long hair, Dan, guy with moustache, guy wi-

Wait.

That was Kyle. The guy with the moustache..it was Kyle. Was it? If it wasn't it looked exactly like him. This was strange. My friend Nina has a boyfriend who is in a band with the guy I've just met. It really is a small world. The picture was a little blurry but from what I could see, he looked almost similar, plus.. one of the names of the men from the band was Kyle.

"Hey..Dan, is this Kyle?"

"Kyle? What about him?" He answered as he inched closer towards me, looking at the guy I was pointing to.

Suddenly out of nowhere, the bus jerked forward causing my bag to fall on the floor and Dan to well..fall on me. A few people gasped and began looking around out the windows at the small incident outside. It looked as if a car had unexpectedly driven infront of the bus when the traffic light was on red, it wasn't a crash; just a false alarm.

"Everyone okay?" The bus driver called out receiving a few answers back such as 'yes' and 'fine'.

The bus carried on moving hesitantly bringing me back to the reality that was infact leaning against me.

"Oh..um..sorry about that." Dan muttered bringing his hand up and moving himself reluctantly off of me.

I moved my hair out of my face, leaning down to pick up my bag off the floor before noticing another hand infront of mine.

"I'll get that for you."

Dan grabbed my bag and passed it back to me, our hands briefly touching as our knees bumped together lightly.

"Thanks." I smiled.

I looked back out of the window to notice that I was pretty close to my stop.

"So..are y-"

"This is my stop, I'm going to have to go now...oh, I was meaning to say earlier..I'd just like to apologize for my disapperance yesterday..I was..I don't know, I must've be-"

"No worries, it's fine, I mean I get it..you had to get back."

I wanted to explain to him, but I just couldn't, so I smiled and stood up ready to leave, pressing the 'stop' button on the bus and making my way down to the front. I thanked the bus driver before stepping out, the wind hitting me and making my hair fly back out of my face.

The bus began to drive away after a couple of people got on at my stop. I glanced back at the window where I was just recently sat, catching a brief glimpse of Dan. He held his hand up to say goodbye and I gave him a small wave. It's so strange that we keep bumping into each other in random places in the space of two days, and in this case, literally.

"Who are you waving at ey?"

I turned around to see Nina's familiar face, her blonde hair blowing in the wind around us, styled in curls placed on her shoulders. Even in the wind, it was still held firmly in place.

"Hi!" I squealed.

"I have a lot to tell you."

We both exchanged smiles before walking over to the café down the road.
