can't seem to get over the way you hurt me

Anger. Sadness. Denial. Distrust. Resentment.
Those were the emotions Jordan promised his wife would never experience again.
Y/N wanted a marriage that stood on the grounds of love and trust, but infidelity slipped through the cracks she wasn't aware of. Everything was going good Jordan was having a better season with the Washington Wizards and Y/N was pregnant with their daughter Sarai. Finding out her husband was cheating while she was carrying his child was more than devastating.
All the counseling sessions, silent treatments, moving out of state meant nothing to Jordan. He allowed all the hard to go all the waste for a botox bimbo barbie. Y/N was hurt but she felt more enraged. After the conversation and receiving proof from the said side piece, Y/N made her move. She was able to pack her and her daughter's bags in under thirty minutes.
Y/N said staying was out of the question, but deep down inside she knew she wanted to give Sarai a two parent home. Could she allows herself to get constantly shitted on for the sake of her daughters happiness? That was the question that was circulating through her head all night. The sickened wife was snapped back into reality when she heard her husband's footsteps enter their shared bedroom.
"Hey baby."
"Hi."
"How was you're day today?"
It bothered Y/N that he was talking to her like everything was ok.
"Why was it just ok baby?"
Concern decorated Jordan's face since his wife is always has a positive attitude.
Y/N wanted to play with his mind a little bit but just wanted to get straight to the point.
"I got a message from someone and I want to cut to the chase...who's Amaya?"
Y/N watched as the man she once loved body tenses up at the sound of her name. A little part of her had hope and was praying that everything the woman gave to her was fake. Once the dates and text messages started adding up she knew she lost him.
"Before you try to lie to me she already told me everything and showed me hotel receipts with your name on it, presents you bought her, text messages, pictures, and the abortion you paid for."
"Baby I can explain-"
Rage was overcoming Y/N's sadness and she was reaching her breaking point.
"I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SUCH A FUCKING IDIOT!"
Jordan was taken aback from her outburst and knew it was years of pent up anger.
"I should've left the first time it happened like are you fucking kidding me...cheating on your pregnant wife! The stress became so unbearable that I developed preeclampsia and had to delivery Sarai early. And then having to still deal with that shit while going through postpartum you fucking promised me that it wouldn't happen again Jordan."
"I know and I'm sorry baby I wasn't thinking."
"That's all you have to say? I know and I'm sorry baby I wasn't thinking? You think that empty ass apology is going to make me stay this time? It hurts that I recognize her from when you went on your guys trip and you told me that was Ralen's friend. You think you setting up a good example of how a man should treat a woman to Sarai?"
A tight feeling appeared in Jordan's chest and throat. The guilt began to eat him alive thinking about his daughter who will eventually find out about his unfaithfulness. First time he claimed that the baby planning was consuming all their time that they forgot that they need their undivided attention. This time around Jordan knew there was no excuse that could validate his actions. His enlarged hands reach out for his wife only for her to step back shaking her head.
The heart he shared with her was shattered and he wasn't too sure if they could come back from it.
"You know if it was just trips and gifts I probably would've stayed, but Jordan an abortion? You were fucking this girl raw not knowing if she was fucking somebody else putting my health in danger?"
"Baby I know-"
"Jordan save it. I honestly don't know what I want to do right now all I know is I need my space."
"Ok that's reasonable."
"And I'm taking Sarai with me."
Jordan didn't know what overcame him, but hearing that she was taking their child away too angered him.
"No that's not happening."
"What do you mean? I know you're her father, but these are the consequences of your actions. I'm not about to be away from my baby for days just because you fucked up."
"So what you're going to rip my baby away from me and take me to court for child support and drain all my money out of me."
A stinging sensation pulsated through Jordan's cheek causing a singular tear to cascade down his face.
"The fact that you would even fix your mouth to say that is disgusting."
It was true. Jordan had known Y/N for years before they got married and knew what her true character is. In the heat of the moment he felt as if that was the best thing to say...he thought wrong.
Y/N walks into Sarai's room gently grabbing her out of her bed so they can go ahead and leave for their flight.
"After the first time I started protecting myself financially because I just had a feeling you wouldn't stay faithful to me. I got one way tickets to New Orleans and I'm going to stay at my parents until I find my own place. Jordan you gave me some of the best years of my life and also the worst. I cannot and will not continue putting Sarai through this cycle and I think it's best if we go our seperate ways. I hope she was worth it."
She removes her ring giving it to Jordan removing that memory from her life.
Jordan dint bother fighting because deep down he knew divorce was what was best from them. Before Sarai was placed in her car the young father gave his baby girl a hug. Once he straps her seatbelt over here, Jordan stares at Y/N. The woman he loves eyes were glossy filled with pain and resentment that he caused and will never forgive himself for.
"Can you let me know when y'all land and make it to your parents house?"
"Yeah."
"Y/N?"
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry. There are nothing that can excuse what I did but I just want to say I apologize for breaking your trust and stepping out on our marriage. I'm not expecting you to forgive me I just want to be there for Sarai."
"And you will be", she softly smiles, "goodbye Jordan."
Once she settles in the car, she backs out of the driveway leaving everything behind.
