A/N: Hey, so I saw the poll responses. Thanks to those of you who voted and I'm glad to see that everyone is enjoying this story.

Y/n's POV

Eventually the slime's effect wore off, and while Mama and the others had trouble with the effects, they dealt with it without getting Papa involved. Kouki and Sakagami apologized for not being strong enough to deal with the effects of the slimes. We talked about how big the tree had been before Shea had looked down, spotting something. Papa looked down at where she was looking before standing up straight and dragging her back over to the group. Papa had called it the devil before calling it a cockroach, but I didn't know what he was talking about. He used Cross Bit to show everyone the bugs that were crawling around as I looked at them. Mama suggested burning them, which Papa didn't want to do in case it backfired before the sounds of the bugs got closer. A swarm came up from the roots below us as Papa started shooting them while everyone else joined in on attacking them. The swarm kept getting worse until Taniguchi put up a barrier before passing out while Mama put up another at Papa's request. Everyone was panicking over what was happening before Shizuku was muttering something from their world. The bugs stopped surrounding the barrier after a moment before forming a giant ball in the air.

"They're casting a spell." I commented, munching on a few of the bugs as everyone else looked at the swarm.

"What are you talking about?" Papa asked before turning and facing me. He saw I was munching on some of the bugs as his face went from confusion to disgust. "Why are you eating those things?" Papa asked.

"They're tasty, better than the bugs that were in the Bottom of the Abyss Labyrinth." I answered.

"Do you know what kind of spell they're casting?" Papa asked.

"Yeah. Something to do with emotions, but it's hard to tell what since I don't really have many. Oh, and they're strengthening versions of themselves by combining themselves together." I answered, finishing the handful of bugs I had caught to eat. The swarm fractured after casting the spell, and giant bugs landed in front of us, one after another. A bright light filled the room for a moment before Papa and Mama turned to each other. "Yue..." Papa started.

"Hajime..." Mama started. They were facing away from each other for a moment. "Looking at you now. The only thing I can feel is hate." Papa said, turning back to look at Mama.

"I despise you so much. I have no choice but to kill you," Mama replied. Everyone started fighting as I giggled watching them argue. "That magic circle. It must've reversed our emotions. Flipped them to the opposite. What we're feeling and how strong that feeling is proportional to the original emotion." Papa commented. Mama agreed with Papa but added that she felt sick agreeing with him. "Looks like the little twerp is the only one not affected by the spell." Papa said, looking at me.

"But why aren't they affected?" Mama asked.

"I'm a mimic. While I copy things, I don't think I copy emotions. But I still care for you and the team." I answered. Papa and Mama just nodded. Everyone started talking about how cute the bugs were after being disgusted by them moments ago. I drew my gun from my magic storage and started firing, taking out one bug after another. Papa and Mama were off fighting together while I ran off on my own using all the magic and skills that I had gained from copying the team. The bugs weren't overly strong for me to take out, but their numbers were the overwhelming part. As I ran out of ammo for my gun, I switched to using magic, which I could recover faster. One swarm after another came to fight me. I laughed as I used my version of Tio's Dragon Fire magic. I saw that Taniguchi eventually put the barrier back up around the other on the roots before switching to stronger fire magic. The stronger bugs were using acidic attacks, which was a little harder to deal with since I didn't want the bugs to ruin the outfit Papa had made for me. Mama and Papa were still arguing as I continued laughing about it while killing the bugs. Even though they were arguing and hating each other, Mama and Papa were still a great team working with each other. I could feel the spell wearing off as I felt Mama's mana growing and gathering. The swarm that I had been fighting left me alone, heading over to attack Mama and Papa as I set up my magic barrier before light filled the room for a moment.

I joined the others as Shea waved for them to join us. "Are you back to feeling normal?" Shea asked.

"We're good." Papa answered.

"We were so not good over here, well except for Y/n. I can't imagine was it's like not to have emotions." Shea commented.

"It's not all that bad considering the things we go through, but I admit it would be nice to really know what love felt like." I replied. Shea and Kaori both talked about how Tio was acting cool and like a big sister. A spot on the vine closest to us started glowing before sprouting roots that formed a walkway to the next area. We entered a beautiful area, blue sky above, green grass growing, a giant tree off to one side. "This is unbelievable, Master. If I'm not mistaken, we're standing atop the summit of the Great Tree," Tio commented.

"Damn, I think you're right. It must be some sort of concealment magic since we couldn't see it while flying in Fernir." Papa replied.

"They could've used spatial magic to bend the light around the tree or possibly shifted the top to an entirely different plane. It could also be high-level spirit magic that interferes with a person's perception." Mama added.

"Then it sounds like we've reached the finish line." Papa said. We all walked over to the tree, where a chair sat at the base. Shizuku groaned in pain before the tree opened up, revealing a woman with long pointed ears. She congratulated us on passing her trial and getting through her labyrinth. We gained the skill Evolution Magic from the labyrinth, which allows us to enhance powers we possess. She also mentioned that if we evolved all the ancient magic and combined them, it would become Concept Magic. She gave us a Concept magic item that would point us to whatever the holder desires before mentioning that it could lead someone to another world.
