Levi x Perky!Sad!Reader - Happiness

You walked quickly down the stairs, bubbling with excitement. Today you were going on an expedition. You were on Squad Levi, different, since normally you're on Squad Hanji.

"Morning (Y/N)!" Eren's voice rang out from a table in the cafeteria. You smile brightly and bounced over, sitting down next to Sasha and Eren.

"Morning everyone!" You exclaimed. Mikasa raised an eyebrow at you.

"Someone's happy." She commented.

"I'm on Squad Levi for our mission today!" You squealed. Mikasa smiled.

"Nice." She said. You went and got your food, catching the eyes of Corporal Levi. You blushed a bit as his emotionless grey eyes bore into your (E/C) eyes. You quickly scurried back to your table.

"Do you guys wanna here a pick up line." Jean asked. Everyone groaned at the thought.

"Do you know what'd look good on you? Me." Jean said. Everyone rolled their eyes and went back to eating.

"All right brats, we have an expedition." Levi said. You all stood up and walked out to the stables. You found your horse, (H/N) [Horses Name]. You petted his/her shiny coat and hopped on. You slowly maneuvered out of the stable.

"Cadet (L/N), stay close to Eren." Levi says. You nodded and followed Eren as he trailed after Levi. We walked through the town, as people either complimented us or made fun of us. Either way, you kept your head held high and smiled.

You exited the wall and were in Titan territory. You quickly headed towards the forest. You stayed close to Eren.

"15m Titan ahead." You heard Mikasa shout. You saw the disgusting thing. You watched as it slowly made its way over. Eren shot his ropes and tried to hook on, but he couldn't. The Titan grabbed him in his fist.

"Eren." You screamed, as he got lifted closer to the mouth of the Titan. You galloped behind the thing and slashed its neck, causing it and Eren to fall.

"Eren." You muttered, falling to the ground. You can't lose anyone else. The expedition went well otherwise, going to observe them more.

Time Skip to back to HeadQuarters

You sighed as the events of earlier played in your head. On the outside you may always be smiling, but on the inside, your broken. You quickly rushed out of Head Quarters and ran to a grave, the grave of your best friend Petra Ral. You arrived at the edge of the forest and sat in front of the piece of stone.

"Oh Petra." You said, as tears streamed down your face. Petra was your only real friend before Eren and the others got here.

"Cadet (L/N)." A emotionless voice says. You turned to see Levi standing there, watching you.

"Corpral!" You exclaimed shocked, quickly scurrying up and saluting him.

"Don't do that (Y/N)." Levi says. You stand there more shocked. Corporal never called anyone by their first name, except maybe Hanji and Erwin. Otherwise, everyone was just Cadet. He walked closer to you, and wiped your tears.

"Don't cry, it doesn't suit you." Levi said. You cry more, as you stare at the stone.

"We didn't even find her body Levi, sh-he's gone." You said, your voice cracking. He sighs and sits down, pulling you into his lap. His closeness shocked you a bit, as Levi was never this close to anybody. 

"I-I know (Y/N)." Levi said softly, his voice wavering a bit. You turned your head to see Levi with a single tear running down his face. You looked and wiped it.

"Don't cry, you are too strong for that." You say. He looks at you.

"(Y/N)... I-I know how you feel. Petra was a great friend to me and I-I miss her as much as you do. It was hard. I gave away the last thing of hers I had, her badge, to some solider who was sad about his friend." Levi said. You were shocked. Levi never talked about his feelings. You snuggled your head into his chest as he wrapped his arms around your waist.

"I love you (Y/N)." Levi whispered softly. I turned and looked up.

"I-I love you too Levi." I said. He kissed the top of my head.

"Sing to me please," Levi whispered. You blushed, but obliged.
