Levi x Child!Reader - The Accident

Levi walked down the hall and headed towards Cadet (L/N)'s room to get her for training. He knocked on the oak door and when it was opened came face to face with Hanji.

"Levi?! Um you shouldn't come in!" Hanji shouted, trying to block the inside of the room.

"Tch, let me in shitty glasses." He said, while pushing in. He was met with (Y/N), only she was 3 ft 4 and looked like a small child.

"Hanji? What the hell happened?"

"Um, I may or may not have experimented?" She squeaked. The child walked up to Levi.

"Corporal?" She said, tilting her head and looking at the tall (to her) man with her big (E/C) marbles.

"Hanji, you go find a way to cure this, I'm going to take care of Cadet (L/N)." He picked the little cadet up and walked out of the room.

The cadets were surprised when the corporal showed up with a child that looked oddly like (Y/N). The child had her (H/L) (H/C) hair and her sparkling (E/C) eyes, she was even wearing (Y/N)'s nightgown.

"Okay cadets, Hanji had a little slip up with an experiment. This child here is (Y/N) and I'm looking after her, while Hanji gets the antidote ready." He explained.

"Now go run 100 laps cadets!" Levi shouted. (Y/N) bit her lip and started crying. Wails upon wails (-__- upon -___-, god I'm so funny, see its a whale face?) could be heard across the field. Levi looked at the child and bounced her a tiny bit. She started to calm down.

"Levi, I'm tired." She squeaked. Levi sighed. She snuggled her head into his neck and giggled.

"You're warm." She said, as her breathing slowed.

"Seems your not to bad at taking care of children." Erwin teased as he came to stand next to Levi. Levi turned a bit to glare at him.

"I'm only doing what's right. Besides she's one of our best soldiers, we can't afford for her to get hurt." Levi stated.

"Yeah sure." Erwin said. Levi sighed and shook (Y/N) up. She slowly opened her eyes.

"Levi, what are you doing?" She asked in her high pitched voice.

"I'm going to let you walk around a bit." Levi said, crouching down to get level with the little girl.

"No, I'll only do it if you come with!" She insisted.

"Why?"

"You always seem kind of lonely, so I want you to walk with me, so you won't be as lonely." Levi couldn't help but feel shocked. She thought he was lonely, and was offering her friendship.

"Come on." She said, putting out her hand. Levi stood up and grabbed it. (Y/N) happily skipped ahead and grinned, tugging on Levi's arm.

"Levi, I want to climb a tree." She said, pointing to the tree on the edge of the forest.

"I don't know about that." Levi said cautiously. But (Y/N) ran off, eagerly climb up the branches. Levi sighed and walked over, making sure she didn't fall.

"Ow!" She shrieked at one point and lost her grip. She fell, but Levi made sure to catch her. She was holding her finger.

"What did you do?" Levi asked.

"I cut myself." She said. She removed her hand to show a splinter in her finger.

"Well, we're going to have to fix this." Levi said, hoisting the child up and walking back to Hanji's lab.

"Hey there shorty! Aren't you supposed to be training the kids?" Hanji asked.

"I left them with Erwin. Where the first aid kit?" Levi asked. Hanji pointed to the cabinet. He opened it and found a tiny white box. He opened it and pulled out a pair of tweezers. He set (Y/N) down on a stool and looked at her.

"This is going to sting a little bit okay?" He said. (Y/N) nodded.

"Okay." He grabbed the piece of wood and pulled it out. The little girl whimpered a bit and squeezed her eyes shut.

"See, all done." Levi said. The girl opened one eyes and smiled. She threw her arms around Levi's neck and placed a tiny kiss on his cheek.

"Thank you!" She squealed. Levi blushed a tiny bit.

"You're welcome. How about we go back to cadets?" Levi said. (Y/N) nodded and giggled.

"Levi, can I have a piggy back ride?" She asked. Levi thought about it, before turning around and letting her hop onto his back.

"I'll see you later Hanji." (Y/N) waved and Levi walked out of the lab. They walked back to cadets.

"Levi, can I go run?" (Y/N) asked. Levi let her down and she giggled. She ran and caught up to Mikasa and Annie.

"Hi Mikasa, Hi Annie!" The girl yelled as she ran with them. They looked down at her and smiled. She was so cute and adorable.

"Hi (Y/N)." They greeted. Even now that she was a child, she still loves to run and was faster then then the girls.

"Bye Mikasa, Bye Annie!" She said and speed ahead, running around everyone else. Levi had to admit it was funny. The cadets couldn't believe that a tiny child was beating them at running.

Soon it was time for dinner. (Y/N) crawled on top of the bench. She say right next to Levi.

"I'll go get your food okay?" Levi said. (Y/N) nodded and stayed put. Hanji was taking to Erwin.

"How was your day (Y/N)?" Erwin asked her.

"It was great! Levi was so nice to me!" She exclaimed as smiled. Hanji looked at Levi as he set down (Y/N)'s food and handed him a vial.

"This is the antidote." Hanji said. Levi wasn't hesitant to give (Y/N) the liquid. She started growing and soon she was back to old (Y/N).

"That feels so much better! Thanks for taking care of me Levi!" She said. Levi had to admit, he was glad she remembered what had happened.

5 years later

(Daughters Name), come back!" (Y/N) exclaimed as her and Levi's 3 year old was running among the cadets. She chased her and finally got to her. She picked her up and handed her to Levi.

"You take her, you have experience."
