Levi x Reader - Little Fall of Rain {Modern}

"Are you sure you want to head out in that?" Levi's sister asked, staring at the approaching clouds. Levi chuckled and pulled on his helmet.

"I'll be fine. Don't worry." He said, hugging the girl.

"Okay. I'll see you next week. Okay?" She asked. Levi nodded.

"Yeah." He said. He waved, before heading off to go home. He drove a bit before it started.

Rain.

It wasn't too bad at first, just a drizzle, but before Levi knew it he was in the midst of a full on rain storm. Thunder, Lightning, and rain so bad he couldn't see in front of him.

"Shit." He mumbled as he pulled over to the side. He wasn't alone. Lots of cars had pulled over to escape the bad driving conditions. Levi turned his bike off and takin the keys, walked to the car in front of him. He knocked on the window really quickly. The window rolled down ever so slightly.

"Yes?"

"Do you mind if I stay with you in your car til the rain stops?" He asked, hating to ask something. He probably sounded like a creep. Luckily, the girl was nice.

"Sure, hop in." She said, rolling the window up and unlocking the door. He sighed, thankfully and quickly got into the car and shut the door.

Levi turned to see the girl. She had (H/L) (H/C) hair and dazzling (E/C) eyes. She smiled at him.

"It's really coming down huh?" She said, looking out her window.

"Yeah. Really sucks when your riding your motorcycle." He joked. She laughed.

"My name's (Y/N) (L/N). It's nice to meet you." She said, extending her hand. He nodded.

"Nice to meet you too. My name's Levi Ackerman." He said. She smiled.

"Well, you want anything to eat, we may be here a while." She said. He shook his head.

"I'm good." He said. She shrugged.

"Suit yourself." She said and pulled out (Fav/Snack). Levi laughed.

"Why do you have food in your car?"

"Why not? I'm prepared." She said. He shook his head playfully and watched the rain pelt the windshield.

"So, what brings you to the small town of Shinganshina?" She asked.

"My sister goes Shinganshina University. I came to visit her this weekend." He said. (Y/N) nodded in understanding.

"What about you?" He asked.

"My mom lives here. I come visit her everyone and a while." She said, pulling out her phone and showing Levi a picture of (Pet/Animal).

"And this is (Pet/Name). (He/She) was mine until I gave (him/her) to my mom for company." She said. Levi observed the cute animal on (Y/N)'s phone screen.

"(He/She)'s pretty freakin adorable." He said. (Y/N)'s eyes shined.

"I know right. (He/She)'s my little baby." She said, plugging her phone into the charger in her car.

"So, how old are you?" Levi asked.

"26. And you?"

"29." He responded. She nodded.

"Not to old. Did you go to college?" She asked.

"Yeah, at Survey Corp University. I studied teaching." He said. She smiled.

"Somehow I don't see you as the teaching type."

"Well I am. What about you? Did you go to college?" He asked, turning slightly so he was facing the girl.

"I went to Shinganshina University like your sister. I studied writing." She said, grabbing her water from the cup holder and taking a swig.

"That's cool." Levi said.

The two sat in awkward silence, staring out the window as the rain pelted down worse and worse. (Y/N) groaned.

"Weather is a fucking bitch." She complained as she impatiently tapped her fingers in her steering wheel. Levi could tell she was eager to get on the move.

"I'm sure it'll let up soon."

Soon was an overstatement. An hour later the rain hadn't let up at all.

"It'll let up soon my ass." She grumbled as she pulled out her phone and checked her messages. 1 message from Mom, 1 message from Keith, and 1 message from Eli. Nothing new.

From Mom
To (Y/N) (L/N)
Hey, I just heard the rain started coming down. Stay safe, I love you!

(Y/N) smiled as she opened Keith's message.

From Keith
To (Y/N) (L/N)
(Y/N) you need to get home ASAP. Lance is driving me crazy and Shiro is done with all of us. Help.

She let out a soft laugh. Keith was a drama king.

Love and hugs from everyone here at Muse. We are getting ready to go on stage for our concert, but we wanted to say hi!

(Y/N) smiled. She looked over and saw Levi too, smiling at his phone.

"So, Levi, do you teach anywhere?"

"No, not as of now, but hopefully soon. What about you, you write something?" She blushed.

"I have a book ready, I just need someone to publish it for me." She explained. Levi smiled.

"Well you'll have to tell me when that happens. I want to be one of the firsts to read it." He said. (Y/N) smiled.

"Sure, give me your phone. We can text." She said. He handed we his phone and she added her number and she texted him. Levi looked up and smiled.

"Looks like the rain stopped." He said, the sun breaking through from the grey clouds. No rain was falling. (Y/N) smiled.

"Well then we should both be on our way." She said. He nodded and thanked her for letting him sit with her. He bid goodbye and left.

A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now
