(Y/N) had a secret that no one knew. Nobody in the Survey Corp could know. It was a stupid little fear that she wished she didn't have. Nobody knew and it was to be kept that way.
Well that was until this past night. (Y/N) was sitting in front of the fireplace in the dining area when the rain had started. She shivered and groaned. Not tonight. Tonight was the night she had to stay in Levi's room with him while her room was used to house a guest.
"I hope it doesn't get any worse." She sighed and waited a bit. Levi was busy with paperwork and she didn't want to bother him, so she stood in the doorway of the housing area. It was cool outside, and (Y/N) could practically smell the dirt, muddy from rain. That's when she saw it. A kitten with orange fur in the ran, mewling loudly, and shivering.
"Oh, you poor thing!" She shrieked, and despite how much (Y/N) disliked the rain, she ran out, scooped the kitten up and covered it with her jacket.
"Come on, cutie, you need to come inside." She cooed, smiling at the kitten as it purred against her.
And then, it started. The first clap of thunder, followed by a lightning bolt flashing across the sky. With a small squeak, (Y/N) rushed inside and closes the door, trying to calm her nerves.
(Y/N) set down the kitten and pulled down a blanket. She wrapped the kitten up and held her close.
"Corporal (L/N), why are you up?" Levi's voice rang out.
"Huh? Oh um, this is why." She said, and quickly turned around, the kitten held close to her. Levi lips parted and his eyes widened.
"A kitten?"
"Yeah, it was out in the rain. I wanted it to be safe." She nodded. She walked towards the kitchen.
"You coming? I want to feed him." She said. He nodded and followed. She set the little kitten on the counter as she walked to the pantry and pulled out a can of tuna. She pulled a small dish down and put the tuna on the dish. The kitten jumped out of the blankets and sniffed the fish, before slowly starting to eat it.
"What are you going to name it?" He asked.
"Hinata. It means sun in an old language." She said. He nodded.
Then another clap of thunder. (Y/N) jumped as did the kitten, it shivering in fear. (Y/N) wasn't any better off. Levi stared as (Y/N) wrapped up the kitten again and held her close.
"Are you, afraid of thunder?" Levi asked. (Y/N) wanted to deny, but she knew it wouldn't get her any help, so she slowly nodded.
"Yes." She said shakily, holding the kitten tighter with the next bit of thunder. Levi couldn't help but chuckle.
"Come on Corporal, we need to get your mind off the storm." He said, grabbing her hand and leading her to his office/room.
"H-how?" She asked, making her way behind him, carefully making sure the kitten didn't slip or fall from her arms.
When they got to the room, Levi took the kitten, and placed it in a box. He made sure the kitten was comfortable before turning to (Y/N). He pulled out a small record player, nothing big. He put a small disc on it and played the music.

Levi put his hand out and looked at (Y/N). She blushed and took his hand. He settled one hand on her waist and stared into her sparkling (E/C) eyes. They shone brighter then then the lightning flashes outside.
Shall I stay, would it be a sin But I can't help falling in love with you
(Y/N) smiled and giggled as Levi spun her around and dipped her.
"I like this song." She said. Levi nodded, continuing to dance with her.

Finally, (Y/N) clasped both hands behind his neck. He rested them on her waist.

Levi leaned in closer and stared at (Y/N)'s plump pink lips. She closed the gap and kissed him. He kissed back.

Levi pulled back and stared at the girl in front of him. Her (H/L) (H/C) hair, her (E/C) eyes, and her beautiful heart. With the last verse of the song, Levi couldn't help but sing along.
"Take my hand, take my whole life to Cause I can't help falling in love with you. Oh I can't help falling in love with you."
(Y/N) smiled.
For once, the thought of another storm wouldn't be so bad. She'd have to remember to thank the Thunder.
