Levi x Reader - Hurt

Levi was having a rough day so far. Everyone was getting on his nerves and he just couldn't relax. The cadets weren't on their best game and were complaining about the rain.

"Pick up the pace!" Levi yelled as the cadets ran. (Y/N) was helping Hanji with her experiments, but she decided to go and see Levi. She walked behind him and tapped his shoulder.

"Hi Honey." She said, as Levi turned around. Even (Y/N), was aggravating him a little. She was so happy today, so perky when she shouldn't be.

"What do you want?" Levi snapped. (Y/N) took a step back.

"Levi, is everything okay?" She asked. He nodded.

"Don't you have work to do?" He grumbled. (Y/N) huffed and stomped off. One of the cadets, Armin, had seen what had happened. He made a mental note to ask about what had happened.

Meanwhile, (Y/N) was telling Hanji about everything that had just happened.

"I can't believe he would do that!" Hanji exclaimed as she wrote something down on her clipboard.

"Neither can I, he's like this but he's normally never mean to me. I wonder if he's cheating on me. Petra does seem to be really close to him." (Y/N) said, the thought tearing her heart apart.

"I hope it's not true." Hanji said. (Y/N) lnodded, agreeing. She didn't want it to be true either.

"I'm going to go for a walk, I need to calm myself down." (Y/N) said. Hanji motioned for her to go. She walked out and took a deep breath. That's when she saw Erwin. (Y/N) quickly walked over to him.

"Hey Erwin." She greeted the man. He looked down at the girl and smiled.

"Hi (Y/N). What going on?" He asked. (Y/N) frowned slightly.

"Levi's seems aggravated." She said.

"Really?"

"Yeah, he snapped at me." She said. Erwin frowned.

"That's not like Levi. I mean he snaps at other people, but I don't think he's ever snapped at you, at least not when you started dating." Erwin commented. (Y/N) nodded.

"That's what I thought. I'm worried." She said. Erwin looked at her again.

"Well, just, be careful around him. He can get mean." Erwin said. She nodded and gave Erwin a hug.

"Thanks for talking to me." (Y/N) said, smiling at him before walking back to Hanji's lab.

Little did (Y/N) know, Levi saw her talking and hugging Erwin. He felt his heart break and anger boil in his gut.

"Faster!" He snapped louder, rage taking over him.

(Y/N) finished work and headed to dinner. She didn't want to disturb Levi until she had to, so she sat with Eren, Mikasa, and Armin.

"Hey (Y/N), I have a question?" Armin asked her. She looked up from her tea and tilted her head.

"Yes?"

"Is something wrong between you and Levi?" He asked. (Y/N) frowned and explained the situation. Armin frowned.

"That's rude." He said.

"I think so to. I don't know what with him, he's never snapped at me." She said, finishing her dinner. She smiled at Armin.

"I'm going to go back to my room and take a shower. I'll see you tomorrow Armin." She said, before getting up and bouncing off. Levi saw the entire ordeal again and was fill with envy and rage. He growled and decided to go back to his room.

When he entered, (Y/N) was already in the shower. That's right, to persevere space they had agreed to share a room. He sat on his desk and waited for his cheater girlfriend to emerge.

(Y/N) walked out to find Levi.

"Um, hello Levi." She said, fixing her shirt.

"How could you?" He roared. (Y/N) looked shocked.

"How could I what?"

"You're cheating on me!" (Y/N)'s eyes widened.

"I'm not cheating!" She yelled back.

"Oh really, you hugged Erwin this morning." He yelled. (Y/N) was getting angry.

"I'm not cheating! I was worried about you cheating on me with that little blonde chick!" She screeched.

"What about Armin, you wouldn't sit with me, and went to sit with Armin." Levi retorted.

"It's because Erwin said to be careful! I wanted to wait until you calmed down before talking to you so you wouldn't get mad!" She exclaimed.

"So now what Erwin says is what you follow, huh? What if Erwin told you to die, would you?" Levi yelled. He finally snapped and raised his hand. He swung it and hit (Y/N) right across the cheek. She whimpered and held her hands to her cheek. She started crying and ran out of the room.

That's when Levi realized his mistake.

(Y/N) ran to Hanji's room and knocked furiously.

"(Y/N), what's wrong?" She asked. (Y/N) ran into her room.

"L-Levi accused me of cheating and then s-slapped me." She sobbed out. Hanji's eyes softened and she went to comfort the girl.

"I'm so sorry (Y/N)." She said, brushing back piece of her (H/C) hair.

"Stay here the night, get some rest." Hanji said. You curled up on the floor with a pillow and 2 blankets, and fell asleep.

Levi had troubles falling asleep. How was he going to apologize? Man he was an idiot.

The next morning

(Y/N) and Levi obviously were more depressed that morning. Levi wasn't yelling as much as usual and (Y/N) hadn't even turned up for food.

(Y/N) was in Hanji's lab when Levi walked in.

"(Y/N)." He said. She turned around, her eyes widened in fear and she turned around.

"May I request your time for a couple minutes?" He asked. As much as she wanted to at no, she said yes. She followed Levi out of the lab. He walked with her to the edge of the forest. There he climbed a tree and pulled her with him. When they were high enough, they stopped, looking down at the cadets.

"I'm so sorry, I really am." Levi said softly, grabbing (Y/N)'s hand. He turned her head so he could look into her eyes.

"I was aggravated yesterday, I-I wasn't thinking and I let it come out on you. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me." Levi begged.

(Y/N) could see the desperation in his eyes. She hated when he hated himself. He didn't need that, he's had a rough enough life.

"I forgive you." She said weakly. Levi smiled slightly and kissed her. He realized something.

You can hurt something you love, and you know they truly love you back when the forgive you, even when you are a monster.

And he knew he never wanted to be the reason (Y/N) was hurt ever again.
