This one shot is roughly based on Hamilton. Fight me if you don't like it.
(Y/N) was extremely worried. She wasn't used to this. Levi not being here all the time. It scared her.
Let's go back so you can know what's happening.
(Y/N) and Levi had been married for 3 years. They loved each other very much. That much was easy to see. They were the perfect dorky couple. They had a healthy mix of fights in their lives. They knew when they should go out and when they should just stay in and watch anime all night whilst eating (Fav Food).
They didn't see each other much during the day. Levi worked at a big corporation. (Y/N) worked at home as a writer/tutor. They both only really saw each other at night.
But a couple weeks ago, Levi had been promoted. While this gave them more money, this also meant Levi was on business trips more. Levi was currently on his 5th week of travels, and he had only been home about 5 days of those 5 weeks.
That's leaves us where we left off.
(Y/N) was lounging around, trying to find inspiration. There was none. This was a hell of a lot easier when her husband was home. He was always great inspiration for her.
But now, she didn't have anything. Her life seemed dull and she didn't have any creativity to write the next chapter of her book. She was thankful she didn't have any kids to tutor today, so she could lay on the couch all she wanted. She jumped a bit when her phone rang. She picked it up and her face lit up when she saw Levi's name. She slide the answer button and was greeted with Levi's face.
"Hey honey!" Levi said, seeing his wife's bright (E/C) eyes and wide smile.
"Hey sweetie!" She said.
"How's it going?" He asked.
"Horrible. I miss you!" She exclaimed. Levi chuckled.
"I left literally yesterday night." He said.
"But you were only home for barely a day. And the next time you come home will be in 6 days. I miss you because I don't see you a lot." She explained. Levi grinned.
"So, what are you doing?" He asked.
"I'm sitting on the couch and deciding how to procrastinate." She said. Levi sighed.
"Don't you have book to write. Your publisher said your deadline for the next chapter was tomorrow. You shouldn't wait til the last minute." Levi scolded.
"I know, but I don't have any inspiration." She groaned. Levi smirked.
"Here look at this." Levi said, standing up and pointing the camera out his window. Her eyes widened. A beautiful ocean was shimmering in the sunlight. The waves crashed on the shore. (Y/N) could see tons of people. She smiled. They were happy.
Now the question was, was she? She smiled.
"Thanks. I should get started on the chapter now. Love you." She said, smiling slightly.
"Love you too." And they hung up.
And (Y/N) moped, though she did keep her promise and finished her chapter. The rest of the night was spent on Ice Cream and Netflix. She loved comfort.
The next morning she woke up feeling like she was going to throw up everything she ate last night. And she did. She rushed to the bathroom and threw up. She sighed as she stood by the toilet, making sure when she vomited she didn't make a mess. Levi would have a fit.
This happened for 2 more days, before (Y/N) decided to ask her friend Hanji. Hanji was a doctor, so she hope she would know.
"Hanji, I've been getting sick every morning for a couple days now. What do you think is wrong?"
"Well, have you and Shorty been sexually active lately?" She asked.
"Um, yeah." She blushed.
"Well, you might be pregnant. That or it could be a stomach flu. I'd check, just to me sure." Hanji said. (Y/N) thanked her and hung up. She took a shaky sigh. She reached under the sink and groaned. She should check.
A couple minutes later, she was staring at the stick in her hand.
+.
And she broke down. All her worried flooded her head.
What is Levi doesn't want it? What if I have to raise it on my own? I should tell him right away. But I want to tell him in person. I'm too worried right now. What if I'm not a good mother? What-
She shook her head and cleared all horrible thoughts away. She wasn't going to chicken out. She made sure to call Petra and request for Levi to come home as soon as possible. Petra just said she would. Petra was nice, (Y/N) decided. Petra assured her Levi would be home tomorrow. She didn't answer Levi's calls that day, to sad and scared to think about what questions he would ask.
The next afternoon, Levi walked into the house. His wife was nowhere in view. He worried as he set his coat down. He started up the stairs.
"(Y/N), you here?"
"I'm in the bedroom." She replied. Levi walked down the hall. When he reached the room he heard soft sobs. He was quick to open the door and was met with a crying wife.
"(Y/N)? Is everything okay? What's going on?"
"I have something important to tell you." She said. Levi sat next to her and took her hand.
"What is it love?" He asked.
"I-I'm pregnant." She announced. (Y/N) waited for the yelling, the warmth to leave her hand, but it never came.
"I-I'm going to be a dad?" Levi asked. She nodded hesitantly. She opened one eyes slowly and saw a grinning husband.
"I'm going to be a dad!" Levi enthused. She nodded, letting a small smile creep onto her face.
"What can I do to help."
"Can you take some time off? I need someone to help calm me. You can go on your trips in a couple days, I just want to do this, with you." She said. Levi hesitated.
"Please. Let me be with you, even if only for a couple days." She begged. Levi sighed and nodded.
"Yeah. I'll do it." (Y/N) smiled and hugged her husband.
"Thank you Levi. You being here,
That would be enough."
A/N:
Sorry if it sucked. I literally had no ideas. I was in complete writers block today. But I got it done. For anyone who wants the song that inspired this, here it is!
Love you all!
