You hated it. You hated that you weren't as talented as the others. Everyone told you that you were doing fine, but you couldn't, wouldn't, believe that. You always feel like you didn't belong. Like you weren't good enough.

"(Y/N)! Can you come help me in the lab today?" Hanji asked as she sat next to you. You nodded happily.

"Of course! More Titan research?" You asked as you sipped your coffee. Hanji nodded enthusiastically.

"Yep! We're gonna have a great time!" She exclaimed happily. You smiled.

"Okay. I'll see you later then!" You said. Hanji waved goodbye as she bounced off to the research tent. You sighed as you slouched in the bench. The chatter around you made you realize just how lonely you were. Without Hanji, you really had no friends.

"Cadet (L/N), is everything alright?" A voice asked. You jumped slightly and turned to see Levi staring at you. You gave a small smile.

"Of course sir. I'm doing just fine." You said. He raised a thin eyebrow.

"Are you sure? You looked like you were deep in thought about something." He said. You nodded.

"I was just thinking about the work I'm gonna do with Hanji later, that's all." You said. Levi nodded.

"If you say so (Y/N). I'll see you later." He said. You nodded and gave him a big smile.

"I'll see you later Corporal." You said. You watched the man walk away and slowly you got up.

"Okay (Y/N), first task of the day is to sort out all of these reports!" Hanji exclaimed. You nodded, staring determinedly at the stacks of paper. You sat down and immediately started to organize the papers by date, subject, and information. It was a bit easy for you, considering that Hanji really worked in spurts, because you could group them together easily.

After about an hour, you were done. Hanji stared at you, eyes gleaming.

"That was so fast (Y/N)! That would have taken me forever to finish!" She exclaimed. You chuckled.

"That's because you get distracted by everything." You joked. Hanji smiled sheepishly as she scratched the back of her neck.

"Anyway, I need your help with some titan anatomy stuff with Sonny and Bean, but I need to grab some materials. I'll be back in like 15 minutes, just sit tight!" She said. You watched as the brunette skipped off to the main building to go get some supplies.

You pulled over a spare piece of paper and a pencil. You started to write a poem, something you did in your spare time. You added the last word as Hanji bounded back into the tent.

"Okay, time to go see Sonny and Bean!" She exclaimed. You folded the paper up and placed it onto the oak table in front of you. Hanji led you away from the tent and into the area that held the two Titans.

Levi sighed as he walked towards the tent. Once again, Hanji had forgot to turn in her report from the first half of the day. So Commander Eyebrows sent Levi to go pick it up from the tent. However, when he arrived neither Hanji or (Y/N) were present in the tent. He groaned and continued to look around until he found a piece of paper that looked exactly like a report. He picked it up, but didn't notice that he had grabbed a piece of folded up paper underneath it.
