Little Miss "Perfect" (Hayes Grier)

Chapter 6

Anna's pov://

We were driving to Cam's house and I was really nervous. Cam noticed and held my hand and gave it squeeze.

"Dont be nervous." He said reassuringly.

"Im trying not to be." I said as we pulled up in the driveway of a large two story house. It was gorgeous.

I grabbed my bag and We got to the front door and Cam unlocked it and went inside still holding my hand.

"Mom Dad! I'm home!" He yelled and two people appeared.

The lady was short like me with blue eyes and brown hair and the man was medium height with brown eyes and brown hair and Cam looked a lot like him.

"This is my sister Anna." Cam said and they both had wide eyes.

"Anna?!" The lady yelled and pulled me into a hug along with the man. "Honey I'm so sorry we just couldn't afford to take care of you at the time. I never wanted to, but I wanted you to have a better life." She said and a few tears slipped from both of their eyes.

"It's okay. I understand." I said smiling. I couldn't be happier. "Get in here Cam." I said and held an arm out for him and he joined our group hug.

"I just made baked chicken. You guys hungry?" She asked.

"Yes." I said and followed her into a huge, beautiful kitchen.

"Help yourself sweetheart." She said smiling putting food on her plate.

I got some chicken and green beans. I sat down  and we all ate together. I'm not used to this, but it's nice.

"I made apple pie for dessert. Anyone want some." She asked getting up.

"Me." We all said in unison and then laughed.

I ate the pie and let me just tell you. It was delicious. I offered to help with the dishes but she insisted I spend time with Cam which I didn't mind. We went upstairs into a large room at the end of the hallway. 

"This will be your room."he said smiling.

It was a large room with grey walls and white furniture. It looked really nice.

"I love it." I said smiling big.

"You want to go match Netflix in my room?" He asked.

"Yes let's do it." I said following him out and turning to the lights. 

We walked into another big room and he grabbed his laptop from a desk and sat it on the bed. I slipped off my sandals and sat beside him. He put on Sinister. Really?

"Really?" I asked.

"What?" He said playing dumb.

"Sinister. Scary movie." I said in a duh tone.

"I know." He said and played it and it started and I was cold so I snuggled up under the covers.

A really scary part came on and I hid my face in Cam's shoulder. He put an arm around me and I don't watch the rest of the movie. It was a long movie. The movie finally ended and it was 6:26pm.

"Kids! Dinners ready!" Mom yelled from downstairs.

"Come on Lego!" Cam said getting up and dragging with him.

We ate some kind of soup and it was really good. Cam and I went back upstairs and I grabbed my toothbrush out of my bag and brushed my teeth in the bathroom connected to my room. I closed the door and took a super quick shower and dried my hair. I put on a v neck t shirt and Nike spandex because they are so comfy and went back into my room and plugged my phone in to charge. I went back into Cam's room and he was sitting on his bed shirtless with wet hair. I guess he got a shower too.

"Hey." He said looking from the tv to me.

Why does my brother have such good abs and muscles.

"Hey." I said plopping down beside him.

"Your cheek looks better." He said grazing his fingers over it. "By the way, are you gonna tell Mom and Dad about what they did to you?" He asked 

"I can't. It'll break their hearts. They'll think it's all their faults." I said sighing

"Okay." He said sighing also. "I love you and I'm not gonna let anything happen to you anymore. I promise."he said looking me in the eyes.

"I love you too Cam. Thank you." I said hugging him. 

I felt so safe in his arms.

"Let's get some sleep. Do you wanna sleep in here?" He asked letting go.

"Yeah sure. I said getting in his bed as he turned off the lights and crawled in the bed beside me and wrapped his arms around me. 

"Your safe now." He whispered before kissing my forehead and I quickly fell into a deep sleep.
