Little Miss "Perfect" (Hayes Grier)

Chapter 30

Anna's pov://

Ugh school. At least I have Hayes now. I don't really know what we are but I like it much better than whatever we were yesterday.  I was listening to our boring lecture in history when I got a text from Hayes.

H- Meet me outside the gym after seventh. (;
A- Okay :)

It is sixth period right now and I have Art last now so I am happy. Finally the bell rang and Hayes and I walked to our lockers.

"Have fun in athletics." I joked.

"Today is cardio. And legs. Fun? Sure." He replied rolling his eyes.

I finished getting all my stuff and said goodbye to him and went to art class. We had a substitute today so we just sat on our phones but I mostly talked to Emma. We talked about random stuff and turns out she has never seen Cameron before so I showed her a picture.

"Oh my god! He is hot!" She exclaimed causing me to laugh. "And you get to see him shirtless!"

"Ew. That's my brother but yes yes I do." I laughed.

"Ugh. I'm so jealous." She groaned.

"Why? If he's your brother you can't date him."

"Well I mean I would get to see him shirtless so yeah I don't care. That's enough for me." She laughed.

Finally the bell rang. I went to my locker and got all my stuff and walked to the gym and went outside. I walked out the door and saw Hayes standing there with a rose smiling. I walked to him and he handed me the rose and got down on one knee holding my hand.

"Anna. I love you to the moon and back. You are my world and you make me so happy. Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Yes!" I said and he stood up and kissed me on the lips.

"I would pick you up and kiss you cause it's cuter but I really need to go take a shower." He chuckled causing me to laugh.

"Okay. You go do that. I'll see you later." I said and left to go to my car and he went to his.

I unlocked my car and threw my stuff in the backseat. I closed the door and turned around seeing Gwen.

"I know you don't want to talk but I just want to be friends again. We were best friends. I want us to be again." He said.

"I want to be too. I don't know of we will ever be the same again." I sighed looking down.

"Like how?" He asked.'

"No more sleepovers." I said.

"Aw. Those are the best though." He made a pouty face causing me to giggle.

"I know, but Hayes wouldn't like that and I couldn't argue with him about that." I sighed.

"I guess you are right. I'll see you later." He said before turning and walking away. "Text me back!" He yelled before opening his car door and getting in.

I laughed and got in my car to go home. After I was home, I ate some ice cream while watching old CSI shows. They are the best. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I saw a message from Hayes and one from Gwen.

H- Date-night tonight?
A- Sure.
H-Pick you up at 7. Casual. (;
A- Okay see you then. Love you. xx
H- Love you more!

I then read Gwen's.

G- Wanna hang out?
A- Sure. Come on over.
G- Okay good bc I'm already in my car.
A- Okay see you in a few.

I then finished my ice cream and went upstairs to pick out my outfit for tonight. I still have three and a half hours to get ready. Plenty of time. I ended up picking out a grey knit poncho with a black scarf, black jeans, and grey booties.

I laid it out on my bed and started on my makeup waiting for Gwen to get here.
