Anna's pov://
"Hayes! He's just a friend!" I yelled following him as quickly as I could.
By he, I mean Kaleb. I got paired with him for a project and that's all. Hayes ignored me and kept on walking to his car.
"Hayes!"
"You don't get it do you!" He turned around and yelled startling me. "He's the school's biggest f*ckboy and I asked you not to hang out with him at night alone!" He said with his jaw clenched.
"It's for a project! Why don't you trust me?!" I asked in tears.
"I do!" He insisted. "I just don't trust him..." He replied.
"He's one of your friends, why wouldn't you trust him?" I asked crossing my arms.
"He's just- stuff. Stuff has happened okay. I can't tell you about it. I promised I wouldn't." He replied lowering his voice.
"It's not my fault we got paired for a project. I don't understand why you're so mad!" I yelled.
"Because I asked you not to do one thing! One thing and you still did it and didn't even tell me! You shouldn't hide stuff from me!" He yelled and ran his fingers through his hair.
"I never was hiding anything from you! Nothing happened!"
"I asked you not to!" He yelled. "I- I don't want you to get hurt okay. That's all. I trust you. I really do... I just can't trust him. I'm just trying to protect you." He said softly and took my hands in his.
"I don't always need you to protect me!" I snapped yanking my hands from his and turning to walk away.
I got in my car and took a deep breath. I've been so stressed lately with the whole court thing coming up and everything. It's in five days. I'm so nervous..... I don't want to go back with them. I want to stay here, with my parents....and Cam...and Hayes. I may be mad at him, but I still love him. I couldn't imagine living without him. I turned on my car and drove home in silence. I didn't even turn the radio on. Once I got home, I went straight up to my room and laid on my bed. Why is all this happening? I decided to text Gwen.
A- Wanna hang out?
He replied almost instantly.
G- Yep, I'm on my way... I really need to talk to you...
A- okay... I'll see you in a fewHm I wonder what's up... He's acting weird. I sat drowning in my thoughts awaiting him to get here. Oh my god! I haven't even told him about court coming up! He knows about everything that happened in the past. I really wonder what he has to talk to me about though. My thoughts are interrupted when I hear the doorbell ring.
I hop off my bed and hurry downstairs. I threw the door open and was face to face with the person I never wanted to see ever again. Rick. I was shocked to say at the least. I tried to close the door but he grabbed it holding it open.
"Don't touch me. Stay away." I spoke sternly hiding the aching fear inside.
"Oh come on.... Really? I thought you knew me. You know what I want." He played a sly smirk on his lips.
"My brother is here." I spoke nervously as he took a step closer to me. "He's here a-and he will come down here."
"Oh please. I know no one is home. I've been watching. And my my may I say, that body of yours has gotten even better." I almost threw up in my mouth.
"I- I..." I was lost for words and tried to slam the door shut but he lunged forward throwing it open further.
He tackled me to the ground as I screamed. He slapped me a couple times yelling at me.
"Stop! Stoooppppp!" I yelled as he ripped my shirt from my body and covered my mouth with his hand.
I managed to get a leg free and kicked him hard. He grabbed my head and neck and slammed my head into the wooden floor. He held down my legs and his grip on my wrists grew tighter and tighter. Tears ran down my cheeks as my muffled screams filled the air.
He had pulled my pants down and was unhooking my bra. I squinted my eyes closed praying for a miracle. I screamed louder than ever as my clothes were being ripped from my body. Then suddenly he was ripped away from me and threw to the ground. I rolled over in agonizing pain as everything was blurry. I heard Rick's groans as someone was beating the absolute crap out of him. I rubbed my pounding head and closed my eyes from the pain. I was seeing black spots when I heard sirens in the distance.
"Anna! Anna! Baby, I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" I heard Hayes's panicked voice.
"Hayes.." I whimpered.
"I'm right here baby." He cooed. "How about I bring you upstairs to get some clothes?" He asked and I nodded my head.
I felt him pick me up from the ground. He held me close to him as he went up the stairs and into my room. He carefully sat me on my bed and went to my dresser. He got me a bra, t- shirt, and sweats. He walked back over to me and helped me get dressed. I would usually be so insecure about him seeing me without hardly any clothes on, but I could barely function properly. After I was dressed, Hayes pulled me into his lap and held me as I cried. We heard people downstairs.
My headache got worse and I winced at the pain."Are you okay?" Hayes asked concerned.
"My head." I sobbed.
He stood up with me in his arms and walked down the stairs. I couldn't here anything really as Hayes conversed with some woman as she checked me. She finally left and Hayes squatted down beside me.
"She said take some pain medicine and ice and you'll be okay in a few hours but you'll be hurting for a few days." He spoke softly and I nodded.
He looked at me worriedly and stood up and helped me up. We went into the kitchen and he filled a glass of water and got an ice pack and some medicine.
"Take this."
I took the Tylenol and drank some water and set the glass on the counter. Most of the police had cleared out. I guess they're waiting for questions until later. That's a good thing because I can barely see or even walk right now. Hayes picked me up and carried me back upstairs to my room. He switched off the lights and laid me down on the bed laying beside me. He wrapped his arms around me and placed the ice pack on the knot on my head. I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore as he rubbed my back and held me close to him. I was asleep in the blink of an eye.
