Cameron's pov://
After the very awkward conversation, I went downstairs to wait on Hayes. I saw his car pull into the driveway and I stepped outside onto the front porch. He stepped out of his car in a suit with a bouquet of roses in his hand and walked up to the porch.
"Oh, hey Cam." He said once he noticed me on the porch.
"Look, you're gonna die when you see Anna, but control yourself." I said.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"She looks good, and I can't believe I'm letting her out of the house wearing what she's wearing. You know I trust you guys. I know it's hard sometimes, but control yourself." I laughed.
"Alright, don't worry." He chuckled and I went back inside and let him in.
"Anna, Hayes is here." I yelled.
Anna's pov://
Right as I was spritzing on perfume, I heard Cam yell "Anna, Hayes is here."
"Do I have everything?" I asked Emma.
"Yep. Go get em." She nudged me forward and I laughed and stepped out.
Hayes stood at the bottom of the steps in a suit and holding a bouquet of red roses. As soon as he saw me, his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. He scanned me up and down and I blushed as I reached the bottom step.
"Whoah. You look....whoah." He muttered.
"Thank you Hayes. You look pretty good too." I replied biting my lip.
"These are for you." He said handing me the roses.
I thanked him and gave them to Emma to put in a vase with water. I told Cameron bye and we headed out. Hayes opened the door for me and I thanked him. He went around to his side and got in.
"So where are we going?" I asked as he pulled out of the driveway.
"It's a surprise." He answered.
"Ughhhh. I don't like surprises."
"You'll like this one." He said and grabbed my hand with his free one.
I smiled and turned the radio on. I had to keep reminding him to look at the road and not me. A few minutes later, we pulled into the parking lot of a extremely fancy sushi restaurant.
"Sushi!" I said exitedly.
"I knew you would like it." He smiled proudly hopping out and opening my door for me.
"Thank you." I smiled taking his hand and stepping out being carful not to trip and fall.
We went up to the front desk and Hayes said "reservation for Grier."
She nodded and took us to a table. We got our drinks and I scanned through the menu not sure what to get.
"Hayes, I don't know what to get. I like it all." I said.
"I'll order for you." He relied putting his menu down.
"Okay. I'm honestly kind of scared." I set my menu on the table.
"Trust me, you'll like it." He reassured me.
He ordered something I don't know how to pronounce and we talked until we got our sushi. I was excited and scared to eat it at the same time. Once I finally built up the courage to try it, I ate one roll and was amazed.
"This is so amazing." I said in shock.
"Yeah I know." Hayes chuckled.
I just kept eating until I couldn't eat anymore. There was only a little bit left which Hayes ate, of course. The check came and I reached for it but Hayes snatched it away.
