Anna's pov://
We walked in slowly dreading what was to come. Gwen hugged a few of his family members and introduced me. They were really nice. We made it to the front of the room in the church we were at and walked to his parents standing by her casket. They all hugged each other and his mom came to hug me. She was so nice and I love her. She is amazing.
"Thank you for coming sweetie." She said sniffling.
"Of course. I'm sorry for your loss." I said as we let go.
"Thank you sweetheart." She replied sweetly and went back to her husband and Gwen came back to me and held my hand again and we walked to her casket.
She was beautiful. Her hair curled with her favorite blue dress on. Tears welled up in my eyes as Gwen turned and buried his head in the crook of my neck crying. I tried to stay strong but it wasn't working very well. The person who was hosting asked us to have a seat. We all sat down as he started speaking. After he and her parents spoke, he prayed. I heard Gwen's soft sniffling and got out tissues and wiped my face and handed him one. We were given one last chance to go see her before she was brought to the cemetery.
"Come with me please." Gwen said quietly.
I nodded and took his hand and we walked over to her again. I'm gonna miss her so much.
"I love you." He whispered and cried harder.
We stepped to the side to let the people in line behind us in our spots. I hugged him tightly and rubbed his back.
"She's better now." I whispered in his ear and he nodded.
When it was time to go, I had run out of tissues. Gwen and I walked hand in hand back to his car and got in.
"I can't believe she's gone." He broke down.
I scooted next to him and he wrapped his arms around me as we cried together.
"We have to eat lunch and go back to school in order to go to the game tonight. We should get going." He sniffled and started the car.
"Yeah. Where do you want to eat?" I asked.
"Drive through McDonald's okay?" He asked.
"Yeah. Sounds good."
"Thank you for coming. Really. It means a lot." He said sincerely.
"Of course I would come. I would do anything for you." I smiled.
"Why are you such an amazing person?" He chuckled slightly.
"You bring out the best in me I guess." I laughed.
We ordered our food and ate it on the way to my house he dropped me off and went to his. I changed into jeans and a flannel with brown booties. I brushed my hair smoothing the curls to waves and I was ready after brushing my teeth. My phone buzzed as if on cue saying Gwen was here.
I went downstairs locking the door behind me since no one was home. I climbed in Gwen's car and we sadly started off to school.
"Yay school." I joked sarcastically.
"I wish I had classes with you. It really sucks not being able to see you very often." He sighed.
"I know I mean I would want to see me more too." I chuckled.
"Yeah your just irrasistable." He laughed and grabbed my hand with his free one interlacing our fingers.
"Well here we are. Yayyy." Gwen joked.
"Ugh." I groaned and got unbuckled and gathered my stuff.
Gwen opened the door for me and I stepped out. My next class is with Hayes. Hayes. How could I forget about him. So much has happened. Well I guess something's going to happen... I have to sit beside him too in a class where we all just sit there and talk. Oh gosh.
"Hey you okay?" Gwen asked snapping me out of my thoughts,
" Uh yeah yeah. Fine let's go." I said as we reached the doors.
We checked in and walked to our separate classes. I stood in front of my art class door dreading going in. I could here all the chattering from the outside of the door. I opened it slowly and no one seemed to notice me walking in. I handed the teacher my slip and turned towards Hayes. His eyes were looking straight into mine. I looked away and walked slowly to my seat right beside his. I sat down quietly and felt his eyes on me.
"Anna. I am so so so sorry. This is all my fault. I didn't mean anything I said; you are nothing but amazing." Hayes said quietly.
"I-I can we talk later?" I asked fiddling with my thumbs.
"Yeah." He replied.
The bell finally rang and I left in a hurry. The next 2 classes went by quickly and I was standing at my locker putting my books away.
"Anna? Oh my gosh. Your here! I haven't seen you in forever!" Emma explained as we hugged each other.
"I missed you Em. Sorry I didn't text you. Just things were gong on." I said as we pulled away.
"It's fine trust me. You need a ride home? I figure one of the boys brought you and they have to stay after school. You forgot of course like normal." She laughed.
"Oh wow. You're right. Yes I do thanks and I have so much to tell you." I said closing my locker and walking out the doors with Em.
I told her about everything on the way to my house. She dropped me off and then went to her house. I changed into my uniform and put my hair up adding my bow. I put on some powder and mascara and went downstairs to eat some strawberries because I am really craving them right now. I walk into the kitchen to see Cam dancing and humming while pouring Pepsi.
"Why you so happy Cam?" I chuckled.
"You wanna know?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"You really wanna knoooooww?" He said again.
"Yessss I really wanna knoooooww." I mimicked.
"I got a date. Tonight. With a really cute and nice girl." He said happily.
"That's great Cam. You're gonna have to tell me about it tonight when I get back."
"Kay will do babysis. Byeeee." He said in a girly voice before skipping upstairs literally.
Weirdo. I got out the strawberries and ate a few. I grabbed a water from the fridge and went upstairs putting it in backpack. I also put my poms and cheer jacket in there. Alright I have everything. No shoes. Whoops. I put on socks and my cheer shoes and now I have everything. I grabbed my phone and keys and got in my car and started to the stadium.
