Little Miss "Perfect" (Hayes Grier)

Chapter 11

Anna's pov://

It's been two weeks and Hayes and I are stronger than ever. Nash is gone and Magcon. Hayes plays varsity football. He's also the quarterback and I'm a varsity cheerleader. We pretty much just hang out every day after school and do our homework. Cam is also at Magcon and I miss him so much! I FaceTime him a lot and Nash is there usually. I talk to Nash too. We are still friends, it's just a little awkward. My best friends are now Em, Hayes, Cam of course, and another football player named Gwen. No he doesn't flirt with me and I don't flirt with him. He's one of my best friends. Hayes trusts us and that makes me so relieved. I am so glad today is friday! Right now I am getting ready for the football game since its 5:10pm. I change into my uniform and pull my hair up into a ponytail with my bow. I put on some powder, blush, mascara, and lipgloss. Then I slipped on my cheer shoes and checked the mirror. Now I'm ready. I grab my cheer bag and keys and head out the door.

I arrive at the stadium and meet up with the other cheerleaders. We warm up some stunts and talk until kickoff. We do simple toe touch baskets and then start cheering. It's halftime and we are winning by 28 points currently. The game is going pretty well. The final score was 68 to 14. We won big time. I'm so proud of Hayes. And Gwen too of course. I walked over to Hayes and pecked him on the lips.

"Great job, babe." I said smiling.

"Thanks. I gotta go to the locker room, but I'll see you at my house. Okay?Love you." He said.

"Yes love you too." I smiled and started walking to my car.

Once I got home, I took a quick shower, blow dried my hair, and put on a sports bra, yoga pants, and a t-shirt. I was about to head to Haye's house when I got a text from Gwen.

G- Hey. I really need to talk to you if you can please.
A- Yes of course. Come on over.
G- Okay thank you. I'm on my way.

I then texted Hayes.

A- I'm gonna be at your house in a little while. Gotta do something real quick. Love ya hottie (;
H- Okay that's fine. And Ikr. I love you too beautiful.

I turned my phone off and heard a knock on my window. I went over and opened the curtains and saw Gwen. I opened the window and he climbed in. He had puffy eyes and was really sad looking. Let me describe him for you. He's tall with kind of tan skin and perfect white teeth. He has a nice jaw line and spiked up/ quiff black hair. Idk how to describe it. He's muscular and has hazel eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked pulling him into a hug.

"She- she cheated on me and - and left me for him." He sniffled. We let go and sat on my bed facing each other.
By "she" he meant his girlfriend, Lyss.

"I'm so sorry. You deserve. Someone amazing like you." I said sympathetically.

"Did I do something wrong. Am I ugly or something?" He asked looking down.

"You did nothing wrong. You did everything you could've done to make her happy. And no I would say you are pretty good looking if you ask me." I said smiling softly.

"I just feel that I wasn't good enough for her so that's why she cheated." He said quietly.

"Hey look at me." I said lifting his chin up. "You are good enough. She didn't deserve someone as great as you. I'm guessing she cheated, because she's a slut." I covered my mouth. " oops." I spoke.

"It's fine she is one I guess and thank you. How did I get such a great friend like you?" He asked smiling.

"I guess your just pretty lucky. " I smiled.

I hugged him tight.

"Thank you Anna." He said looking me in a he eyes.

"Of course. Anytime." I said happily.

"I'm gonna go home now I'm pretty exhausted, but have a good weekend keep it pg." he said smirking and kissing my fore head. Don't freak. That's just what he does okay.

"We aren't Nashty. Bye bye." I said waving as he disappeared through the window.

I then grabbed my phone and keyes and headed to Hayes's house.
