Chapter 17

Anna's pov://

I opened my eyes and looked up seeing Gwen?! Oh yeah... I recalled all of the events from last night. I carefully crawled out of the bed and put my shoes on. I opened the window quietly being careful not to wake Gwen up and crawled out. I walked to my car and started driving home. Cam is probably still asleep and my parents are most likely too so I'll jut have to crawl back up through my window. I parked my car as climbed up the ladder into my window. I checked my phone seeing a message from Hayes.

H- Hey babe. I love you. I miss you already. Is that bad? I'm rambling. Anyways love you and come over if you want. Cam can too.

I texted him back.

A- Hey love you too! Sorry I was sleeping. I have to tell you something really important.

H- Okay I'm coming over rn.

I decide to take a quick shower. I put my wet hair in a messy bun and put on some leggings and a t-shirt. I heard my window open and looked over seeing Hayes. He smiled but I didnt smile back. I'm too upset.

"Babe. What's wrong?" He asked and pulled me into a hug.

"Last night... Maddie.. She was murdered..." I said with tears brimming my eyes.

"What!?" Hayes said shocked.

I just nodded my head and a few tears escaped. Neither of us said anything. We just stood there.

"How is he taking it?" Hayes asked referring to Gwen.

"Not good." I said and wiped my face.

"We should go see him. Come on." He said.

"Okay let me get some shoes. I said and slipped on my chacos again.

We went back out my window and to Hayes's car.

We arrived at Gwen's house and Hayes started walking to the door but I stopped him.

"No window." I said and took his hand showing him while he looked at me confused.

I just shrugged it off and started climbing while Hayes followed. I climbed in and saw Gwen sitting on the floor with his knees to his chest again. He looked up at us and weakly smiled. Hayes went and sat beside him and  hugged him. I guess I'll let them have their guy time. I stood by the window leaning on the wall until they pulled away.

"Have you heard anything yet?" I asked and went as sat beside them.

"No they're supposed to call me today." He said with a dull expression.

"Oh okay." I responded.

Hayes's pov://

I'm a little confused but I'm not gonna ask. I don't want to make this any worse.

"You left your sweatshirt." Gwen says to Anna.

Uh what? When was she here?

"Oh thanks." Anna smiled and took it.

She gave me a 'don't ask' look and I didn't.

My phone buzzed and I checked it.

Nash- Where are you? We need to make a video before Anna and Cam come.

H- Kay. I'm coming.

"Nash wants my help to make a video. I'll see you later bro. And I'm so sorry. Are you gonna stay?" I asked Anna and she nodded.

I didn't want her to stay but Gwen needs someone and somehow Anna seems to know more about this than I do. I left and started driving back to my house.

Anna's pov://

Hayes didn't look happy when I said I was gonna stay. Maybe he's in a mood. Oh well.

"We need to go do something fun. Go shower and I'll go get ready." I said and pulled Gwen up of the floor.

"I don't wanna do anything." He pouted.

"Your not gonna feel any better if you just sit here." I said.

"Okay but can we stay here and do something?" He asked.

"Yeah sure." I gave up.

"Okay I'm still gonna go shower though. Stay here." He picked me up and sat me down on the bed." Don't move." He chuckled as did I.

He walked into the hallway and I just pulled out my phone I text Cam.

A- Hey. I'm at a friend's house. Text me back when you wake up.

No reply so he's still asleep. I guess he was in a plane for a long time yesterday. I just went on Twitter until Gwen came back. He walked in and I looked up. Holy Jesus nice body. Stop staring. I quickly looked back down at my phone.

"Sorry. I forgot to bring a shirt." He chuckled.

"It's fine." I put my phone up and looked up again.

"Good because I don't want to put one on anyways."

Oh lord. Don't stare! Do not stare! Luckily my phone dinged and I looked at it to see a bunch of twitter notifications and mentions in a photo. I opened the photo and couldn't believe what I saw. It was a picture I Hayes and some girl kissing. He was kissing her back too and holding her chin up. Omg. Tears brimmed my eyes and I stood up.

"I'll be back in a little while promise." I said before quickly climbing out of Gwen's window.

I started walking realizing Hayes drove me here. I finally reached his house and his car wasn't even there. I stood in his driveway until he finally pulled up. He got out and he finally noticed me and looked worried a little.

"How could you?" I walked up to him.

"What are you talking about?" He asked.

"You lied and went to kiss some girl. Wow." I said. I don't even know how I'm not crying.

"Well you were at Gwen's house and didn't even tell me!" He yelled.

"He called me at 2 in the morning a nervous wreck. He found her. He found his own sister dead! I went to calm him down! That's all!" I yelled back.

"Oh I didn't know...." He said.

"So that's an excuse to go and cheat on me?" I yelled and a tear slipped but I quickly wiped it away.

"You could've told me! You cheated on me.... With my own brother!" He yelled.

"Yeah well you know I thought of you the whole time? I couldn't stand it. I never WANTED to hurt you." I said not caring about the tears anymore.

"Well you did!" He yelled.

"Well I'm sorry! I am so sorry! Something you didn't even say! Maybe.... maybe this isn't right. Maybe us isn't right." I said.

"Maybe it isn't." He said and looked down shocked.

"Fine then. I guess we are done." I said and walked away.
