Game of Hearts

Chapter 17~

After a week of staying in the hospital Tiffany was finally allowed to go back to school. A few days past by and her and Wooyoung still hadn't made up. One day as she walked into homeroom she accidentally bumped into him.

Both: "Ah mianhae!" They both looked down and Tiffany hurried to her seat.

Sunny: "Yah Pany-ah! What's the matter with you and Wooyoung? You guys used to be so close and now...it's like you try to avoid each other."

Tiffany: "Oh nothing. We just drifted apart that's all. Arasso?"

Sunny: "Neh....arasso."

Throughout the day Tiffany and Wooyoung made awkward eye contact. They stayed like that until someone finally broke the gaze. Being away from Wooyoung on such bad terms such as these, left Tiffany in pain. Finally, last period came.

Teacher: "Neh! Your lab partners today will be:..." The teacher read down the list until he got to Tiffany's name.

Teacher: "Finally, Tiffany and Wooyoung."

Both of them had a moment of shock but as the class shuffled around the classroom, they walked towards each other. Silently, the made their way towards the lab tables. They worked together but they didn't speak a single word to each other the entire time except for the occasional "You do this" or "This goes here."

All of sudden their experiment exploded and got all over Tiffany. Her shirt was now drenched. Wooyoung quietly took off his jacket and gave it to her, just like the day he found her crying in the rain.

Tiffany: *whispers* "Gomawo."

Wooyoung: "Chun maneyo. Ah listen Pa-" before he could finish his sentence the bell rang. Tiffany quickly gave back his jacket and ran out of the classroom before he could say anything.

Tiffany: *thinks* "Aish. Staying away from Wooyoung is harder than I thought."
