Chapter 26 {Alex's Pov}

To get to Fredrick, we realized we had to escape his body. I gave a hand motion to El. She narrowed her eyes and they flashed a bright gold, she tightened her grip on her backpack, and took off sprinting. Jon and I exchange glanced and shrugged, taking off after her. I was plenty fit so this was a simple jog for me, but by the look of Jon's face this seemed to be hardcore military training. He was breathing loudly and heavily, his dark hair sticking to his sweaty brow. Is it weird that I think it made him look so helpless, so sweet? I grabbed his arm," Pace yourself Wilter." I handed him a water bottle and he chugged it down. He wiped the water dripping from his chin, and gave me a small smile. We kept running and soon stopped in our tracks. Giant pieces of food came flying at us. El screamed and ducked as a big tomato flies at her head, while Jon dodges a potato chip. Looks like we are in Fred's mouth. "Alright!" I yelled over the chaos. "We are just gonna dive out of Fredrick's mouth okay?" They both looked really scared and disgusted, but it's not like I wanted to go out the other end. Jon mumbled to me," I got an idea." I met eyes with him," Yeah?" " How about we jump onto Fred's tongue and try to sorta slide off it?" I grinned widely at him," Jon you're a genius!" Jon blushed," Nah I'm just a deformed loser trying to clear out the mess I've created." I looked at him like he was crazy," Jon are you serious? You're so special, you think in a whole different mindset that most people never do." His eyes glowed and he played with his hands innocently. If there was anyone I'd risk this crazy mess for, it was him. He stepped closer to me, I don't know what for, maybe a hug or a pat on the back but El yelled making him jump back," Let's go! Dive onto the tongue!"
