I sealed my eyes shut as the animal tore at my flesh and held me down. I trembled with great panic, I had no idea how to fight off this beast. I was supposed to let my eyes do all the work but honestly, I was worried the thing would tear them out of their sockets! I was losing consciousness and I could just squint to see the blur of the trees, rocking furiously back in forth from the wind. I mumbled out a few words but I am uncertain with what exactly I said. In a flash I heard El scream,"Come on Jon lets do this!" For a split second I looked at my eyes and noticed the presence of glass water bottles circled around me like they were having some spiritual ritual. I winced and then scanned my thoughts for an emotion to focus on. I decided on worry and my mind burst with continuous thoughts, because I am quite the worrier. How I was worried that we'd never destroy this curse, oh my what if I had to carry this on my shoulders for a lifetime! Eh, probably not a lifetime, if this beast kills me. That's when I heard a loud scream and the animal stopped wrestling with me, and focused on where the sound had came from. All the water bottles were now shattered into pieces. As if in slow motion, each glass shard danced in the air, flying high in the wind. I watched, amazed at my powers. The glass shards towered over the animal, and I waited for them to cut into it's skin. Suddenly, they changed direction and came at me like a swarm of hornets. They smashed into my skin, scratching and digging deep into my flesh. I screamed in horror and confusion, why had my only powers turned against me? As I looked up, faintly I saw the beast's head detached from it's body and Alex's bloody weapon.
