"she has you wrapped around her finger, you know that, tom?" mattheo asked one morning at breakfast.

"no, she doesn't." tom's eyes were cold.

"you do everything she asks of you. all she has to do is flash you those big puppy eyes and you're putty in her hand." draco pours himself a cup of pumpkin juice.

"so, because i actually like my girlfriend and don't mind doing what she asks, that makes me wrapped around her finger?" tom scoffed.

"we don't make the rules, buddy." blaise clapped tom's shoulder.

tom rolled his eyes. he went to speak, but the great hall doors opened to reveal his girlfriend coming over to their table. she smiled at him before sliding blaise out of the way so she could sit next to him. tom didn't give a noticeable smile back, but she saw something in his eyes that let her know he was happy she'd moved the slytherin boy.

"morning boys." she greeted after squeezing tom's wrist under the table.

"hi viv." mattheo smiled.

"sleep okay?" tom whispered in her ear.

very well, thank you. she sent to his mind.

good. my girl needs her rest. would you like to accompany me to the library after class today? tom loved when they spoke through their mind connection.

absolutely, tommy. vivienne blushed under his gaze.

"hey! we're right here! you could talk to us like normal people instead of that weird mind link you two have." draco pouted like a two year old.

"you're such a drama queen, dray. calm down." viv rolled her eyes.

"we were talking about how you have tom wrapped around your finger. he does anything you want." blaise pushed his plate away.

vivienne glared at blaise, then at mattheo when she heard him snicker. draco and lorenzo kept silent. tom admired the power she held over them with just one look. they headed to class after finishing breakfast, tom and viv walking hand in hand. draco and mattheo were jealous of tom. he got the girl they wanted. 

"where's theodore?" viv turned to asked mattheo.

"he forgot to set his alarm again. i wasn't waking him up for the third time this week." mattheo shrugged and slid his hands in his pockets.

"can you go get him for me?" she looked up at tom.

"sure, doll. i can't promise he won't be hurt, though." tom's voice was low.

"that's fine, long as he's up and gets to class within the next thirty minutes. thank you, darling." she kissed his nose and walked into the classroom.

"see? you literally do anything she asks." matthe gestured.

"sounds like jealousy, mattheo. it's not a good look for you." tom snarled as he headed back to the slytherin dorm to wake theodore.

tom and viv were on a walk later that afternoon. they liked to walk around campus and spend time together. they stopped in the courtyard and sat at one of the benches. tom left to use the washroom, leaving vivienne alone for a few minutes. in that time, harry and cedric had approached her. cedric smiled, harry looked terrified.

"hey, viv!" cedric sat next to her.

"hi cedric. can i help you with something?" viv smiled.

"just wanted to be in the company of a pretty girl." diggory rested his hand on her thigh.

viv pushed his hand off her. his gaze hardened for a moment, but he hid it well. harry tried to intervene and get cedric to leave, but he didn't budge. cedric put his hand back on her thigh and squeezed. she glared at him, moved a few inches away, and focused on harry instead. harry was actually nice to her.

"do you not like when people touch you?" cedric asked, his voice dark.

"not when you touch me. especially after i've pushed you off and moved away from you. you can leave now." vivienne eye's were cold.

"i don't think you're in any position to tell me what to do. you're out here, alone, in that outfit. what in merlin's name did you think would happen?" cedric huffed.

"fuck off, diggory." viv stood and walked away. 

cedric puled her wrist and threw her on the ground. harry tried to push cedric off her, but the hufflepuff was incredibly strong. diggory pinned her to the grass and hovered over her. vivienne stayed calm and tried to cast the spell tom taught her. she made eye contact with him and tilted her head. his body flew off of her and she ran out of the courtyard. 

tom was on his way back from the washroom when he saw his girl running down the corridor. mattheo, draco, and theodore were behind tom, having met up with him after he left the washroom. they all hurried towards viv, tom getting to her first and gently grabbed her wrists to stop her from running. she looked into tom's eyes. he knew something was off immediately.

"what happened?" he asked.

cedric happened. he kept touching me, and he pinned me to the ground after i tried to leave. he told me it was my fault because of my outfit. she couldn't find the strength to speak.

did you use the trick i taught you? tom tried to keep himself steady.

vivienne nodded. she told him through their connection that the trick worked well, and after he flew across the courtyard, she got up and ran. the girl told him that harry tried to get diggory off of her, but the hufflepuff was too strong. mattheo, theodore, and draco were looking at the couple, waiting for when vivienne was ready to talk about it. 

tom wrapped his arms around her shoulders, pulling her into his chest. she took a deep breath and tried to keep herself from losing control. 

"are you okay, viv?" mattheo asked.

"i am now, thank you, matty. diggory's a little shit." viv broke the hug and turned to face him.

tom kept his arms around her waist, pulling her back to his front.

"do you need us to take care of him?" draco stepped in.

"no. she's fine. i taught her a trick to use if something like that ever happened." tom answered for her.

"can we go back to the common room?" viv craned her neck to look up at tom.

tom nodded and the group walked back to the dungeons. mattheo and theodore left to their shared room, draco took an empty couch and turned the tv on, blaise and lorenzo were studying but looked up to say hello to vivienne when they all walked in. regulus took an empty seat next to vivienne and asked how her classes were going. 

"they're fine - flitwick's been giving us all hell, though. he's assigning spells we're not supposed to be doing til next term." viv explained.

"you could always talk to me. i took his class last year." regulus offered.

"thanks, reggie." vivienne smiled.

"of course, little sis." reggie handed her some paper she needed for an essay she had to write.

tommy? viv called.

yes, darling? tom looked up from his book the second she asked for him.

can you take care of diggory for me? please? she pulled her best puppy eyes.

you're a dangerous girl, vivienne. are you asking me to use a curse on a hufflepuff? tom's smirk grew.

he hurt me, tommy. he touched me. i want him gone. she stared at him.

you know i'd do anything for you, doll. consider it done. riddle smiled.

vivienne got up and sat on tom's lap at the desk he was at. she wrapped her arms around his neck, his arms snaked around her waist. she kissed his cheek and rested her head against his. tom smiled to himself.

thank you, tom. her voice rang through brain.

it's tommy to you, angel. tom looked up at her and kissed her.
