steve's heat lasted for five days. billy and steve were at the hargrove resident all week. neither boy had a problem with that, but they knew the amount of schoolwork they'd have to make up would be insane. billy knew stepping out with a boyfriend could end up with people judging him or bullying steve. he wanted to test the waters first with nancy and robin, two of steve's closest friends.

"mornin' pup." billy kissed steve's forehead to wake him up.

"c'mon. we have to get to class. you know ms yates will kill us if we're late." billy rubbed steve's back as he woke up.

steve huffed but sat up. he winced as he did, catching billy's attention. the alpha tried to hold back from picking him up and babying him, but his instincts took over and he was right by steve's side in an instant. steve's eyes went wide when he felt himself being lifted off the bed.

"billy?" steve questioned.

"you looked like you were in pain." billy shrugged when he set harrington down.

"i mean, it was kinda your fault." steve brushed his hair back into place.

"sorry. you just looked so pretty under me." billy pressed a light kiss to steve's collarbone.

steve's breath caught in his throat as he lent back into billy. billy wrapped his arms around steve's shoulders and left another hickey. harrington could feel the jeans he just put on getting tighter, as did billy, but neither of them wanted to stop. billy made his way to the mating spot on steve's neck. the omega tilted his head, giving his alpha more room. that's when hargrove pulled away and let steve finish getting ready. steve rolled his eyes and pulled a shirt over his head. 

the drive to school was quiet. steve fought billy to drive, and ultimately, billy won. once they got there, nancy and robin were waiting by the front door. robin hugged steve first and asked if he was okay, nancy just hugged him and told the omega how good it was to see him. they wanted to ask how his heat went, but once they saw steve's limp and billy right behind him, the girls put two and two together.

"you had something you wanted to tell us?" robin prompted.

"harrington's my omega. he spent his heat with me. didn't realize he was my mate until last week when i smelled him." billy admitted.

"i'm glad you found each other. and thank you for helping him through his heat." nancy smiled.

"i'm happy for both of you. steve's a trip, but you can't help but love him." robin chuckled.

"thanks ladies. you think anyone will notice his limp?" billy scratched the back of his neck nervously.

steve whined and hid his head in his hands. robin and nancy tried not to laugh, they really did, but they couldn't help it. steve harrington finally lost his virginity, but now everyone would know. billy felt his a tug at his heart when he saw steve embarrassed, but it quickly died down when someone saw them together. a girl was eyeing steve.

billy pulled steve in by his waist, harrington's back now flush with billy's chest. the girl looked at the ground and kept walking. steve's blush deepened and the girls fussed over him. billy whispered "mine" against steve's skin. robin asked if they were going to tell the kids. steve's eyes lit up at the mention of them. nancy smiled at steve's reaction. he really loved those kids.

"what kids?" billy asked.

"dustin, eleven, mike, lucas, max, and will. the kids steve gives his life to protect." robin explained.

"max? as in, my sister max?" billy pulled away from steve.

"yea. he's been the designated babysitter for a while now, and he's a great mother to them. he's very protective though, so i'd be careful what you say next." nancy gestured to steve.
