Slowly, I climbed to my feet. I grabbed the phone that had fallen across the room.

It had been Seth.

All those years ago, it had been him who had harmed me.

I punched in a number and let it ring.

It had been Seth who made me a monster.

"Hello?"

I swallowed. "Hello?" I whispered.

Don't worry, I'll fix this.

"Scarlett?"

I recognized Adam's voice.

I wanted to cry. "I need to ask a favor from you."

You are such a little princess.

"Scarlett, are you okay."

"No."

Stop pretending to be perfect. You and I both know that you're a failure.

"What's wrong?"

"What's wrong?" he sure did act well.

"My whole life."

I bit back a surge of pain. Stupid memories...

"Do you need someone to come and get you?"

"I don't know any more."

"Listen, we'll come and get you, okay?"

"My room's on the fourth floor."

"Okay, stay on the line with me Sweetie."

I could here banging and glass shattering downstairs. It was Him.

"Okay." I whispered softer than before.

I curled up in a ball, my knees pulled up to my chest.

"Are you still there?"

I was choked with tears. "Yes,"

"Princess, don't worry."

I winced at that name.

"Please, stay on. We'll be there in a few, okay."

I sniffled.

The crash was louder.

"He's coming closer." I whispered into the phone.

"Keep calm, sweetie."

"I'm getting scared." I whispered.

"I'll sing you a something, okay? Just keep calm."

His fruity voice sang softly through the phone, and I relaxed. "Golden slumbers kiss your eyes, Smiles await you when you rise. Sleep, pretty baby, Do not cry, And I will sing a lullaby."

There was another bang, closer. I flinched.

"Cares you know not, Therefore sleep, While over you a watch I'll keep. Sleep, pretty darling, Do not cry, and I will sing a lullaby."

There was pounding footsteps on the stairs.

"Rest your eyes from all of harms, Sleeping safely in my arms. Sleep, pretty dearest, Do not cry, and I will sing a lullaby."

My window opened and I was suddenly in arms. I closed my eyes as I was whisked out of the window, onto the roof, and down the side of the building. On the ground, I was placed inside of a car, and Adam's arms wrapped around me.
