Nyen laughed and giggled with one of her sand friends as we walked towards the ramen booth. My favorite place. I guess it runs in the family. Seru was quiet. He never asked me a question at all.

He walked next to me, taller, prouder.

“You look…different.” He piped in.

“How so?” I asked.

“Well, your hair is longer, you’re taller, and…” He paused. “Never mind.”

“Is something wrong?”

“No, nothing at all.” He smiled as he looked at me. “Do I look different?”

“No. You look the same.” I joked. He stopped. His face whipped around. He was looking for something and it wasn’t me. Something was wrong. “Seru, what’s wrong?”

“Something’s not right. I can sense it.”

“Like what?”

“Danger. You have to get out of here. Warn the Hokage. I think its a secret  attack by another village.” I stopped too. Nyen looked behind her as she saw us stop.

“What’s wrong?”

“Come Nyen.” I grabbed her hand as we left. She knew something was wrong but I was leading her towards the Hokage building. She understood immediately.

I looked behind as I saw Seru. He drew two kunai knives from his pack and ran to the north.

Worry ran through me. I hoped inside that he would be fine. I grabbed Nyen’s hand and ran towards the Hokage building.

I kicked open the door to find my Dad attentive. He wore the white coat with the red flames at the bottom but not the hat. He knew instantly that something was wrong. He got up out of the chair and walked with me outside.

I told him what Seru suspected. “Wait here.” He told me.

“No, let me come with you.” I said. He stopped and turned around. He took his hands and placed them on my shoulders.

“No, I can’t risk loosing you. I already lost Mom and I can’t loose you too. Find Kakashi.” His eyes began to turn orange. Nature Chakra. I submitted as he left.

The figure of the white cloak was soon met with Anbu Black Ops leaders. All wearing the white mask of an animal.

I could hear him giving out orders to his colleagues. With slight hesitation I walked the other direction with a puzzled Nyen in tow. I could tell she was confused with the Hokage and me.

“Are you two related or something?” Nyen asked.

“Yes. He’s my father.” I replied. Nyen smiled. “And we’re going to find out the source of the problem. What do you think, friend?”

“I’m up for some battle.” We both smiled at that remark. The Chunin Exams would have to wait. Danger was at the doorstep of our happy village.
