This is the first time I saw AJ Raymore.

Lizzie was right: her hair looked like maple syrup. Her hair glows and so does her emerald green eyes and rosy cheeks. From the way she stood, I could tell she was introverted. She looked down a lot.

“We can talk in the patio, Mr. Meyer”. I nodded then followed her outside.

We both sat on metal chairs with a glass table between us. Their patio lots or orchids and other flowers. It feels like a safe haven. She looked beautiful  amongst the flowers surrounding both of us. I imagined her and Lizzie together: they would look like pretty best friends. I looked at her again and she met my gaze.

“I won’t hurt you AJ. I know you might think I’m a horrible person“.

“I don’t think you’re horrible Mr. Meyer” she cut me off.

I was startled at what the young girl said. She continued

“Lizzie doesn’t think you’re horrible. She says you’re the most awesome person ever. I trust her”.

I closed my eyes for a moment and opened them slowly.

“Tell me your story AJ”.

“What do you want to know?”.

“What Lizzie wanted me to know about you…and about her”.
