Dear Papa,
Happy Valentine’s Day Papa! You didn’t greet me Papa…it’s ok. I’m still smiling as I write this. I had a great day today.
In school, we gave chocolate hearts to each other. I gave mine to my seatmate Patricia. Alex gave his to me, Papa. He also gave me a yellow paper rose. He said that a yellow rose means friendship. I’m so lucky to have him as my best friend Papa. He even helped me with the valentine’s card I gave you. I hoped you liked it Papa. I wrote a poem in the card. I really like poems. I want to make more and more!
I know you’re sad because it’s our first Valentine’s without Mama, that’s why you didn’t greet me. I understand Papa. I love you very much.
You went to bed early that night Papa. You didn’t hear me sneak in your room. I lied down beside you and snuggled against your back. I looked at the ceiling and whispered “I love you Mama. I miss you so much”.
