Dear Papa,

It’s almost Christmas Papa. We went to the mall that day. We went to the toys section and you told me to buy whatever I want.

I pushed my toy cart between aisles in search of toys I want. I took a lot. You paid for each one. I asked you what you wanted for Christmas Papa. You replied “Perhaps to get a raise in my wage. That way I can buy you more toys”. I need your time more than I need toys Papa. I wanted to tell you that but I can’t. I’m scared to tell you these things Papa. I don’t know why.

You handed me some money again and told me to keep it because I will be an economist someday like you. I don't want to be like that Papa. I don't want to handle money. I wish I were money sometimes. You value money so much Papa. Do you feel the same about me?

You had a meeting that day too Papa so you left me at the Stewart’s. Alex and I painted and drew pictures. It was so fun. I even made you a Christmas card! I had to do it again and again because I want it to look perfect. Alex told me that each one is beautiful but I don’t know what’s beautiful for you Papa. I want it to look perfect for you Papa. Maybe you would hug me then.
