Roderick's Point of View

"BLAM!!!" The door to the pack infirmary flew open with my brother standing there with his arms holding the door frame his eyes glowing their gold color "Rosa!...Rosa!...my Rosa are you harmed?!" Ryan huffed out in short breaths, "The link...you.....distress!"

"Ryan I'm fine you missed out on it but...but the baby..." She said quietly.

I realized I still hadn't told her it was a girl.
My brothers face paled as he looked at me.

      "Rod...my son...what happened...to my..." Tears filled his eyes as he broke the sentence thinking the worst had happened.

"Nothing, I already told Rosa the same thing nothing is wrong with the baby!"
He stared at me. "Then what's wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just....it's...it's a...girl" I said while trying to put a smile on my face in a hope he wasn't upset that I was really off on the whole pregnancy.

    In my defense I told them to wait to go on their honeymoon so I could keep tabs on the baby's progress. But noooooo Ryan neeever wants to listen to his baby brother even though I AM a doctor.

Surprisingly the next thing on my brothers face was just something I'd never seen on it, in our 25 years of being together. There was this......softness that entered his face as his eyes watered all over again as he walked up to me and took her from my hands--I was empty....not being able to hold her longer...it had this way of making you sad, but this is my first baby I've ever had a familial connection to--he stared at her tears falling from his eyes as he brought her to his face to kiss her forehead and he hugged her close.

As he held her I kept hearing him whisper, "My Rose......My beautiful Rose....."
I chuckled a little as some tears fell from my eyes as well knowing now that my brother didn't care about boy or girl just that he had a child of his own to love and hold along with his mate....

"Eeerrrm..." Rosa coughed bringing our attention to her. "As much as I'd hate to ruin this moment I'd like to see my little watermelon I just pushed out, because I've yet to hold her, and I had to do all the work to get her here" she said as she smiled.

My brother brought her over to Rosalinda reluctant to give her away, probably feeling the same way I felt when I gave her to him. Rosa looked at her with awe, she spoke to her saying how happy she was to finally meet her, and how she'd give her siblings later on so she wasn't alone.

I could only hope my mate and I would have kids soon so she could feel this happiness too.

    "So guys what're you going to name her?" I asked with anticipation. They looked at each other their eyes glossed over clearly talking through their link to see what her name should be.

Ryan looked at me and said.

"Rose...her name will be Rose"

"Rose-Celestia Apolune"

    That name seemed to be a perfect fit because Rose cooed, and giggled at the name she was given........it was perfect.
