One month later---- (Ashley's p.o.v)
Its graduation day here and right now I'm getting my make up done by Madison. I've told everyone I'm leaving except Josh. I just can't bring myself around to do it. I guess I'm scared.
"I'm gonna miss you you know." Madi says.
"I know. I'm gonna miss you guys too. But I have to do this. Its for my own good." I told her. She then hugged me.
"When you come back, promise not to act like a homeless hippie." Madi says then I laughed.
"Ok, I promise. Now stop making this day sad. It'll ruin my make up." I said, Then she laughs.
"Ok, but you know you gotta tell Joshua today. You can't just leave him without saying goodbye." She says.
"I know; and I'm gonna do it after graduation." I said. She then nodded her head and gave me a hand mirror. My makeup was gorgeous. My cap and gown was gold so she made my eye shadow a glittery gold with a black shadow on the side and some black eyeliner and mascara. She also put a light pink lip gloss and a rose blush.
"Oh my god. Madi, it's beautiful. Like a professional. You could be working for the celebrities." I told her and then she starts to laugh.
"Wow, thanks. You do look beautiful and that dress that you're wearing shouldn't be under that gown." She says. My dress was a tight white dress with spaghetti straps.
"Oh come one this is just a plain white dress. But we should get downstairs shouldn't we?" I said
"Yea, but, I'm going to make the introduction." She says then she goes downstairs. "May I have everyone's attention please? I will now introduce you to this years graduate who will soon be leaving us. The new and improved Ashley." Madison says then I walk downstairs and almost trip when I see Josh here. I continued walking and gave everyone fake smiles. I finally reached the bottom of the stairs. Everyone claps and my mother starts to cry. I go over to Joshua and talk to him.
"What the are you doing here?" I asked
"I wanted to see my beautiful girlfriend. Plus I waned to drive us to the ceremony." He says Then I smile at him.
"We need to talk." I said but I was interrupted by my mother coming over to me and hugging me.
"Oh Ashley, I love you. You look beautiful. Come here. You just need one more accessory." Mom says then she takes me upstairs and into her bed room.
"What are you doing?" I asked. She went into her closet and I saw this beautiful lavender dress and a box was under it. She picked up the box and opened it.
"Every girl deserves beautiful Jewelry. I wore this when I graduated and now I want you to wear it. I know I'm acting like you're getting married but it's just, you're leaving tomorrow and I feel like I should give you something." She says. I smile and accept the beautiful silver necklace.
"Thank you mom. I'm sorry for the way I've been acting and I forgive you for everything. Now, will you forgive me?" I asked
"Forgive you? Forgive you for what? Having feelings? Having emotions and something to say? You don't have to worry about that at all." She says then she hugs me and helps me put it on. "Gorgeous." She says as she looks at me.
"Mom, thank you. But, your about to make cry. My make up is gonna be ruined by the time I get to graduation." I said. Then we walk down stairs.
"Let's go." Joshua says. Then everyone comes out the house and we drive to the ceremony place which was a beautiful catering place.
at the ceremony, during graduation----
"I will now let this years school valid Victorian Joshua Davis come up to the stand." The principal says and then Josh goes up to the stand and everyone applauds.
"Hi every one. I'm Joshua Davis, this years valid Victorian. Some people say that high school years are the worst years of their lives, But to me they're the best. If you think about it and I mean really think about it high school is the last few years you have of being just a teenager and or growing and maturing into an adult. We are all just flowers waiting to bloom. Some of us bloomed earlier than others and others are taking their time. Graduation is the beginning of all of us to bloom into a beautiful flower. The last two years have been crazy yet incredible for me. I got to meet the love of my life and have two kids with her. Don't worry they're twins. But um Ashley could you come up here for a second?" Josh says. I instantly get nervous but I walk up onto the stage and walk up to him.
"What are you doing?" I asked
"Ashley, who would've thought that me punching a guy in the arm back in kindergarten would've been the beginning to a love story. I love you Ash, So I'm just gonna get straight to it." Josh says. The he gets down on one knee. My heart starts beating out of my chest. The crown all gasp.
"Josh what on Earth are you doing?!" I said in a whisper tone
"Ashley Marie Rodriguez, will you marry me?" He asked. Oh god. No, no, no! Not now I'm leaving tomorrow.
"Yes!" I shouted. I just didn't want to disappoint him. I love him but I can't really marry him. Who knows when I'll get back. The crowd roars and claps. He then puts a beautiful ring on my finger and kissed me.
"And with that I will say that you have all the time you need find your happiness and I just found mine." Josh says then he kisses me again and the principal instructs us to flip our tassels.
"You are now all graduates." The principals says. I then pull Josh into the bathroom.
"Ooo, a little graduation sex?" Josh asked
"No. I can't marry you." I said. He just stares at me.
"What?" He then says
"I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you this sooner but I couldn't so I'm gonna try to tell you now. I'm leaving. I'm going away to this mental institution/ therapy sight. I need to do this for myself and I'm not sure when I'm coming back. I'm sorry Josh but I just didn't know how to tell you or if I should tell you but here I am." I explained as I started to cry.
"So, we're not getting married and you're leaving me. When are you leaving?" He asked
"Tomorrow morning." I told him.
"Tomorrow morning!? How long have you know you were leaving?" He asked
"About a month or so." I said
"A whole month and you didn't tell me. I got people asking me when's the wedding and can they be invited!!! You know what I'm just gonna go. I can't stand to see your face right now." He says. He then walks out the bathroom. I'm sorry.
The next day----
I'm all ready to go now and all I need to wait for is Aunt Lisa. Joshua hasn't talk to me since the time I told him about me leaving. I don't think he should even be feeling this way. I'm doing this for everyone's good. I then hear a knock on my door. I open it and see Madi.
"Aunt Lisa and her crew is here. and they're ready when you are." She tells me.
"Ok...Madi, I love you and I'll see you soon." I said then I hugged her.
"I love you too." I said then I walked downstairs and hugged everyone. Once I got to Shawn I smiled and said...
"Dad, I love you too." I said. Then he hugged me. I got up to the car and right before I went in I heard some one yell.
"Wait! Ashley." I turn around and see Joshua. He then runs up to me and kissed me. "I love you and I should've never left things with us like that. DO what you gotta do" He says. Then I kissed him.
"Thank you. I love you so much. But I gotta go." I said He nods his head and then I go in the car and close the door. Before driving away Aunt Lisa honked the horn and everyone waved as we drove away. This is the beginning to a new me.
