Double Trouble

ONE DAY LATER 

I wake up in a hospital and I see my mother and Madi. Oh my god! Do they know?

"Oh my god! Ashley, are ok? You feeling ok? Thank god you're awake!" Mom shouted.

"Yea, hey.... I'm sorry I ran away mom, I just needed some space." I said.

"It's fine. Well no it's not but I don't want to get into that right now." Mom says. Then her and Madi got up. "We're gonna go get something to drink, you want something?" Mom asked.

"No thanks." I said. Then they left. As soon as they left a nurse, possibly a doctor, came into my room.

"Hello Ashley, glad to see you're awake. You're a pretty lucky girl. Minor concusion, and your baby is healthy." She says

"Hey, can we not mention the baby when my mother and sister come in?" I asked

"Oh, they don't know. Yea sure. But you have to tell them sooner or later." She says

"Yea, I'm picking late. You saw my sister, she's already pregnant and I don't need to add more baggage." I told her.

"Ok, it's your decision but I need to check on the baby again." She says.

"Ok, but do it quick!" I said. then I lift up my shirt and she put that cold gel on my stomach and checked on the baby. I saw her looking at the baby confusedly. "Is there something wrong. I lost the baby didn't I. It's fine, It happened before." I said

"No, I can hear two heart beats." The nurse says.

"Yea, mine and the baby's right?" I asked

"Well, let's put it this way, if I count your heart beat then I hear three heart beats." She says. Is she saying what I think she's saying. Am I pregnant with twins? No, I can't be.

"Am I really pregnant with twins? Is that what you're trying to say?" I asked

"That's exactly what I'm trying to say." She says. Then I laughed nervously. "Well I'm putting you on bed rest  so you can go home today but relax, try not to get stressed out and chill out." She says then she leaves the room. Then my mother and sister come in the room.

"What did the doctor say?" Mom asked

"I can go home today but she told me to take it easy." I told them

"Great. So do you need help putting your clothes on or are you ok?" Mom asked

"I'm fine. I can do it." I said. Then I put my clothes on and shoes and we walked out the hospital.

AT HOME

"So, the doctor order you to take it easy, you're gaining weight and none of this have the fact that I thought and am still thinking you're pregnant?" Madi asked

"Nope, I'm just bloated that's all. You know, when you get fat during your period, it happens a lot." I told her. I think that was one of the best lies I've ever told.

"Ok... But um I'm not gonna let you off that easy. You're hiding something and I'm gonna figure it out one way or another. By the way do you know anyone who want's a baby?" She asked

"No, why?" I asked

"Well, the couple bailed on me for a new job! So I'm needing new parents. I'm only 15, I'm not keeping this baby." She said. She could. It would just be three very crazy babies in the house! Maybe I should look in adoption... I just need to get away from family and be alone, have this baby alone and then give these babies away to someone.
