Moving on up

one month later---- 

Thank god none of the pregnancy symtoms kicked in. With the twin I was probably already throwing up  and going through the mood swings at three months, but with this pregnancy I feel the same as before I was pregnant. Suddenly Joshua came barging in my room.

"Josh?" I said

"We need to talk." He states.

"Ok, what's up?" I asked. He started pacing back and forth in my room.

"Ok so I've been holding this in for about a month now and I can't take it any longer." He starts.

"Ok, just say it." I said beginning to get nervous.

"Are you pregnant with my baby?" He asked loudly. He practically yelled at me. I just stayed quiet for a while. Then I finally spoke.

"Where did you hear this?" I asked

"I heard you and Madi talking one day and you were worried about being pregnant. I also heard that she was going to buy you test when she came back from the mall." He says

"There's a possibility I'm not though I doubt it, I haven't gone to the doctors yet. I've been so busy with  trying to find a job and figure out my life that I forgot." I said

"Ashley we need to go now!" He says.

"We? We're not together. Besides, I never fail a pregnancy test and there's no such thing as a false positive." I exclaimed.

"Ok, you know for sure your pregnant? Ok then... I guess I'm here for you." He says calmly.

"You guess? What the fuck is that suppose to mean?" I asked angrily.

"Woah woah, calm down. I am gonna be here for. I just said guess because it just fit in the sentence. With that out burst you're definitely pregnant." He says with a small laugh then he walked out my room.  I then went to the bathroom. When I went to wipe myself I saw blood. Period? Miscarriage? What the hell is going here?  I flushed the toilet, washed my hands and went out the bathroom.  I went into Maddi's room and caught her making out with some random girl.

"Sorry to interrupt but I need to speak with Madison." I said. Then Madison turned over to face me.

"Can it wait? Say, 20 minutes?" She asked. I shook my head. She rolled her eyes in annoyance and walked over to me. "What?" She asked.

"I'm bleeding. I don't think that's suppose to happen." I whispered. 

"Oh, so it is important. Ok.... Well we should go get you checked out. Don't worry you're probably fine. And so is the baby." She says then she tells the girl that she had to go and that we had to go. We then left the house an on our way to the hospital.

at the hospital--- 

"And you say you're how many months?" The doctor asked

"Three, three months." I told her.

"Ok, well it could very well just be vaginal bleeding. That happens with some pregnancies, it don't last long though." She says

"Ok... I guess that's a good thing." I said

"It is. I'm gonna take your sonogram now so lay back and lift your shirt up." She tells and I do as instructed. She put the cold gel, colder than I remember, on my stomach and use the stick to move it around. She looked at the sonogram with confusion.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked. Madison began to worry. I had already been worried.

"Um, I can't seem to find the fetus. Or any type of indication that you're pregnant." She tells me.

"What? No that can't be; the pregnancy test was positive." I said

"Yea well, there's no sign of a baby any where. I think, if I know what I'm talking about, you were experiencing a hormonal imbalance and that can mess with everything, weight gain, menstrual cycle, emotions. A ton of things and that's why you thought you were pregnant and you hadn't received your period.  Was the pregnancy test a faint positive?" She asked

"No, it was pretty bold. But I guess I should be happy. I don't know why now I feel disappointed." I said

"Ok, well the pregnancy test was probably old so the positive popped up." She explains.

"Thanks Dr. Suzeck." I said then I shook her hand and we walked out.

"Are you ok?" Madison asked as we walked to the car.

"Yea, I'm fine." I lied.  We then drove away. Yea, this is a good thing. In fact this is a great thing.  Oh thank god. I was about to be only 19 with three kids. Whew. But now I gotta deal with my period. Life sucks.

      We arrived home and Josh was looking at me with anger.

"And where were you?" He asked me.

"I went to the doctors." I told him.

"And you didn't think of tagging me along?" He asked with anger ragging out of his voice

"Woah why are you so angry? I'm not pregnant." I tell with a little laugh coming out.

"What?" He says

"You heard me. I'm not pregnant." I said

"But I am, we need to move this wedding day up quick and easy!" My mother says coming out of no where.

"What? Mom you're pregnant It's Shawn's right?" I asked

"Of course it is. I am two months and I want to be able to fit in my dress so, the wedding is moved up to two weeks." She tells me.

"Oh my god. Mom, how are we gonna do this?" I asked

"Ehh, we can do it, I have my dream wedding planned anyway and it can be right in this backyard. It's gonna be perfect. Now, tell me, why were you thinking you were pregnant?" She asked

"Umm, No reason. But back to you, pregnant huh, moving the wedding up? Awesome." I said. Suddenly Josh pulled me into a kiss. What the hell?

"Josh," I said as I pulled away.

"I love you. Marry me." He says. My mother just stares at me with shock.

"Josh-"No, you can't give me any type of reasons because you're in love wit me and I am in love with you. Why can't you just give in? You broke up with Aaron. You are in love with me. We have two handsome young men. Just say yes," He says. My heart drops. What am I gonna do?
