In Love With My Best friend

Love??

one week later--- 

I still can't believe that Liam and Jake are talking. The talk so well for three year olds. It's like I've been gone for ten years.  They've grown so much. In other news, my mother doesn't exactly like Ryan. I don't know why. I think he's great. He's sweet, nice, strong, helpful, sexy, kind. He's tons of things I can't even explain.

"Hey so since we're alone I thought we could talk about us." Ryan says

"Ok, what's up?" I asked nervously.

"I want you to move in with me. Ashley, I am in love with you. I think that we should look for a place of our own soon." Ryan says. Um.... What?. He want's me to move in with him..... Wow. This is something else. "Uh, Ashley, your kinda scaring me with your dead silence. What do you think?" Ryan asked

"Oh, sorry. Um... Yea sure I'll move in with you." I said. I immediately regret that and added, "But I need some time. I just moved back with my family, I just wanna be with them for a while."

"Ok, I understand. But can we at least look for a house and not decide yet, until you're ready to of course." Ryan suggested

"Ok. I guess we could do that." I said. Then he kissed me. Why does Josh have so much control over me. I can't help but think of him and love him. No. I need to get him out of my mind. I have a good guy who loves me. Why do I want Josh. Besides Josh is taken.

"I love you. I can't wait till we get married. I mean if we get married." He says

"Awe, I love you too. I know that you love me and so if you want to marry me, just do it." I said. Wait what? Where did that come from? No, this is good. I will be married to a guy who loves me and Josh wouldn't even be considerable. Not to mention that I will be happy too. I do have feelings for Ryan just not as strong as Josh. You know what I need to stop calling him Josh. It's Joshua from now on. Yea I feel better already.

"Are you serious? Oh my god ok. I was gonna wait to do this when we got our house but here I go." Ryan says as he walks into another room.  Then he comes back with a jewelry box and gets down on one knee. "Ashley Marie Johnson, will you do me the honors and marry me?" He asked

"Yes! Of course I will marry you!" I shouted. Then I realized what I just said yes to. He hugs me and my smile fades away. When we separate a flash a quick fake smile.

"We're getting married." Ryan says with a big smile.

"Yea, we are." I said. Then we kiss. There it is, a spark. Oh my god, finally. This kiss is just what I needed. Suddenly the door knob jiggles and when I looked over I saw Joshua standing in the door way with the kids. Ryan get's off his knees and stands up.

"Hey." I said. Then Liam and Jake run to me and hug me. 

"Mommy!!" They say in unison.

"Hi, what did you guys do todays?" I asked

"We went to the park and the store to buy new clothes an toys. Daddy bought a dress." Jake says in a laugh.

"The dress isn't for me you guys. I told you who it was for." Joshua says

"Oh, is it for a special lady friend?" Ryan asked

"Yes it is." Joshua replies.

"Should we tell them?" Ryan asked

"I think we should wait 'til dinner." I said. Ryan nodded his head.

"So, little guy how about you show me what you got." Ryan says to the twins. Ryan is great with the kids he loves them and they love him too.  Ryan then went to their room with them and it was just Joshua and I.

"Hey. Can I see the dress?" I asked. No feelings remember? 

"Sure. I don't think it's your style though. It's pretty much her style. I saw her starring at it before so I got it today." He says as he digs through his bag. He then pulls out this ugly, colorful, bright, flowy dress. It had every single color in the world on it in weird patterns. It was truly the most ugliest thing I've seen.

"Its........... Colorful...... Unique." I said

"Yea, I know, it's not your style. But its my girlfriends so, here it is." He says. I accidentally but my hand with the ring on up to my mouth. "Is that a ring?" He asked. I immediately put my hand down.

"No I don't." I said quickly. Then I took the ring off an put it in my back pocket.

"Yes you do, I just saw it." He says then he walks up to me and tries to get my hand.

"See not there." I said

"I saw a ring." He says then he starts a body search.

"Joshua! Stop it!" I said. as he tried to pat me down but I kept moving around. 

"Stop, and just tell me. Are you getting married?" He asked. I stayed quiet.

"Yes I am. But don't spoil it for everyone else. I'm announcing it at dinner." I told him.

"Wow, well congratulations. I'm really happy for you." He told me. I couldn't read his face though. Its was different from what he was telling me, yet, convincing.

"Ok, thanks, I'll see you at the dinner then?" I asked

"Uh, yea. I'll be there." He says. I then smile at him.

Dinner time ---

I was so nervous. The table was already set and the food was already ready! I was basically screaming inside.

"So honey, why is this dinner so important?" Mom asked.

"You'll uh, you'll see." I said. I knew my mom didn't like Ryan but she's gonna have to suck it up. I'm getting married.

We were all finished eating and all having different conversations with everyone. Suddenly Ryan nodded his head, which meant, announcement time. He then stood out of his chair and cleared his throat.

"Excuse me, Ashley and I have something we need to share with everyone." He then signals me to stand up and I do, but, I was hesitant. "We're getting married." He says then he pulls my hand shows everyone my ring. My mom chokes on her wine. Madison clapped her hands and Shawn just sat there with the most serious face ever. I then look over to Joshua and he had a disappointed look on his face. Was I making the wrong decision? No, this was beneficial for everyone. Suddenly Joshua gets up and leave the dinning room. I then follow him.

"Joshua, wait, Joshua?!" I called after him.

"What?!" He yelled

"What's wrong?" I asked. He then laughs, but it wasn't a real laugh.

"What's wrong?! Ashley, you're getting married! You're calling me Joshua! You drive me crazy! And I'm the stupid guy who's still in love with you!" He yells. I almost crumble when he says he's still in love with me.

"What?.... You're still in love with me? Joshua, please don't start this again." I said

"Stop calling me that." He says

"Why? It's your name." I said

"It's weird when you say it.  Just stop; and look me in my eyes, and tell me you have no  more feeling for me." He says. Then he walks closer to me and I look away... He rises my head back up to look at his. "Tell me the truth." He says.

"I can't. Joshua, I can't," I said. He the takes his hand off my chin and nods his head. For a second I thought he was gonna walk away but, he did the exact opposite and got closer and kissed me.

"I'm not giving up on you. I wont stop fighting for you until I got you in my bed or I'm dead. Oh, and I will fight hard." he says then he walks away from me. Talk about a turn on.  He can have me in his bed any time. Oh god, snap out of it! You're getting married. To someone that's a good guy. I should be appreciating what I have.  Looks like Joshua will be a problem
