38 - The One Missing

"Anna." Mom said "We didn't know how to tell you."
"Ok Missy." I said while looking around the room
"I am mom, your mom." She said while standing up off the bed "You will have to respect me"
"Annalise..." Dad said "Stop getting so upset. We just figured out."
"I'm more upset because you told my date before you told me." I said "I never even met the guy!"

There was an awkward silence for a while.

"When is the CPA coming?" I asked
"I-I don't know." Mom said
"Well, you have to go to school tomorrow...go get in bed" Dad said

I walked out the room and into mine.

I woke up and got ready then text Tony.

Me: Can you pick me up
Tony: sure
Me: k
Tony: be there at 5:30pm

Tony came and then I left the house.

"Let's skip today." I said
"Ok. Whatever you want to do." He replied as he drove away

(13 hours later)

7:00pm

I was taking off my shoes then mom told me to come in the living room.

"Anna." Mom called
"Yeah."
"Where have you been?" She asked
"I know..." I said
"Your dad is out there searching for you." She said while moving her hands around.
"Why?" I asked
"Because we got a call from the school saying you weren't there, then we text you multiple times, you never answered, and then you just got home." She explained
"My phone ran out of battery."
"No excuses. I have to call your dad now." Go up to your room please." She rubbed her head

I went up to my room.

----(Missy P.O.V)----

I called Bryan after Anna went up to her room.

Bryan: Is she home?
Me: Yeah
Bryan: Where was she?
Me: I never asked
Bryan: What she doing now?"
Me: I sent her to her room
Bryan: Did you talk to her though?
Me: No
Bryan: I'll tall to her when I get home

----(Bryan P.O.V)----

I walked out of the garage and then into the house. I walked over to Missy who was sitting on the couch and I have her a kiss.
"She upstairs?" I asked
"Yeah." She said then gave me a hug
As we were in the middle of hugging we got a call. It was the CPS

Me: Hello
CPS: We have the date of when Annalise will be meeting her dad in Chicago
Me: Oh, well...ok
CPS: Good night

I hung up and looked at Missy. She was covering her mouth and she started to cry. I hugged her

"Its gonna be ok." I told her

I went upstairs to Anna's room. I opened the door and looked in the room.

"Anna?" I called and walked in the room
"Missy!" I yelled down the stairs
"Yeah?" She yelled back
"Anna's not in her room."
