As if on cue, a gust of wind blew. My hair went all over my face, and the burger Jungkook had placed beside him was now face down in the sand.

"My burger!"

I couldn't help but let my body hang over as I started laughing. I always thought that the first time someone would say they loved me, it would be romantic.

But this wasn't my exact definition of romantic. And I was okay with that. For once, I felt like I could take a step back and realize just how young we were.

We were just 20. We had a love that people could only dream of at the mere age of 20. Things between us didn't have to always be romantic, or serious, or even perfect. That's what was so fun about our relationship.

We've grown up together, and we've seen each other's good and bad sides, which only made this relationship seem all the more real to me.

I loved him too.

"I love you too."

"Wha-"

"I love you too, Jeon Jungkook."

The smile that was already on his face only grew bigger. His sweet bunny-like smile made the night somehow feel like the brightest moment in the world.

"Really? You aren't just messing with me?"

"Jungkook. We've been dating for how long now?"

"Two, almost three years."

"Of course I'm not joking."

His smile grew wider as he tackled me into the tightest embrace ever. I wrapped my arms around him and burrowed my face into his neck, taking in his sweet vanilla scent.

"I can't believe it took me two years to finally say that."

"Better late than never."

"Come on, let's go back before we get caught."

Once we made it back to the hotel, it was basically time for us to get ready for the awards show. We had barely made it back into the room before we heard a knock on our room door.

Jungkook looked back and gave me a confused look as he walked over to open the door. There, our manager was standing there, his phone in his hand, and a stressed look plastered on his face.

"I'm glad you're both awake for once. Go down to the lobby; we're gonna start getting ready for the show. I don't want to see either of you messing around. If you have free time I better see you dancing or singing or writing new lyrics."

It was normal for us to be expected to keep busy, but when it came to busy days like these, the only sleep we would get was during our downtime in the dressing room.

Without being able to sleep in the dressing room, Jungkook and I wouldn't get any sleep, and the other members would be running on just two hours of sleep.

It was ridiculous to think that we were expected to perform under these conditions, but I also knew our manager wasn't joking, and if we didn't follow his instructions, things would only be worse when we got back to Korea.

Even in the short car ride to the venue where the awards were being held, some of the boys had gotten started on their writing. Hoseok and Yoongi had their noses buried in their phones, only looking up to compare lyrics, while Namjoon kept marking the motions of the dance to make sure he had it down.

"Hey, you don't think this is going to take a toll on us, right?" I asked Jungkook, who had his head resting on my shoulder.

"Only time will tell, but I don't think so. It won't be as bad as the training days."
