What Happened After Everything?

~Merida's POV~
It was a rainy day in Berk.
Pretty gloomy. The clouds sent thunderous claps throughout the whole island and the sky was pitch black. Nothing to do but stay in the boring mess hall. Luckily I was not sitting next to Astrid. That woman grinds my gears! Instead I was accompanied by Hiccup when my brothers 'abandoned' me to get their revenge on trick on Tuffnut for playing a trick on them earlier this morning.

"Hey..." Hiccup greeted me.

"How's it goin' Chief." I replied.

"Ummm. A bit disappointed actually. Because... originally I had planned on taking you and your brothers out on a joy ride on Toothless and Fishlegs' dragon, Meatlug but unfortunately we can't do that due to the thunder storms." He said, sighing and rolling his eyes.

"Too bad indeed." I said annoyed at the fact that I was not able to ride a dragon due to the inconvenience of the thunderstorm.

We were both quiet for a moment, unable to think of a way to continue our boring conversation. Suddenly, the two headed dragon named Barf and Belch tumbled onto our table. The impact was so great that it sent Hiccup and I flying in mid air. Slowly gravity started pulling us both down. I shut my eyelids closed, getting ready for the impact of my landing. I fell straight down onto the wooden floor. Not long after I had landed on the floor a heavy object landed on the front of my body. I bellowed in pain. Heavy... My eyes blinked for a second. To my surprise, Hiccup was on top of me! Instantly, we both tried sitting up but was given the misfortune looking like complete idiots as we both started blushing intensely.
I looked away from his embarrassed gaze.

"Hiccup, you're heavy..." I said, almost unable to breathe.

"Y- Yes! Yes, your majesty! My- My apologies." He said frantically stuttering.

He quickly stood up.

"Your majesty, would you like some h-" he said before being stopped by my hand, signaling that I did not need help.

"I can perfectly stand up on my own. Thank you very much" I said, smirking.

"R... right." He said, rubbing the back of his neck.

The men and woman gathered around us to see if we were hurt or not.

Good thing that Astrid was not here to see this, she would surely hate me more!

My brothers snickered at me, thinking that the whole incident was hilarious. I bet this was all their fault! They probably planned all this to get their revenge on Tuffnut but backfired instead on Hiccup and I.

The other young men were glaring and whispering about Hiccup. Envy was filled in their eyes.

"Princess Merida, we're so sorry! Barf and Belch sorta went bezerk on both of you!" Ruffnut said apologetically.

"Yeah! Are you okay? Because if you need any help, the Mighty Tuffnut is here!" Tuffnut said, trying to flirt with me.

"Dude!" Ruffnut said angrily.

She nudged Tuffnut on the stomach with her elbow.

"Ouch!" He yelped in pain.

He glared at his sister, Ruffnut.

"Pssst! Your Majesty!" Hiccup whispered.

I turned around to see which direction he was in but he instead grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the noisy and stuffy room.

"What are you doin' lad!" I exclaimed.

"Okay. Okay. Relax. Sorry for suddenly grabbing your arm and yanking you off to somewhere so suddenly. But..." He said truthfully.
