Ymir stood at the highest point, looking down at Reiner, who lay beneath the remains of the Beast Titan, while Levi and Louis also looked on, their brows furrowed.
"I guess killing some empty husk isn't gonna do anything.", Levi speaks, his rage evident in his tone upon realizing it wasn't Zeke. Louis clenches his teeth in silence.
"As I feared.. Zeke's using the same method as the War Hammer Titan to hide himself.", Armin squints at the Titan's remains, clinging to Reiner's armor.
"You mean we have to find one tiny body in this huge mass of bones?!", Jean exclaims, pointing behind him and looking at Armin. "There ain't no way! We gotta face up to reality!", He realizes that Armin wasn't looking at him. "Armin!"
"I know!", Armin shouted back, surprising Jean and Connie. "In one minute, I'm blasting this area away. Work with the Cart Titan to get clear!", Mikasa looks at him with her brows furrowed. "Eren and (Y/n) know this attack could be coming. I can't imagine this'll kill them!", Armin lowers his gaze, his face pale but his expression hardening. "But if I blow these bones apart, we might figure out where Eren, (Y/n) or Zeke is!"
Mikasa looked down, feeling her body tense up; Connie clung to one of the bones, flying away while looking at Armin.
"Be careful, Armin!"
"If you get into trouble, ignore us and just go full blast!", Jean shouts at him while perched on the Armored Titan's shoulder.
Armin's eyes meet Mikasa's; they gaze at each other before she walks away. Armin lets out a sigh and lowers his gaze, the image of (Y/n) lingering in his mind.
"Those who can't abandon anything can't change anything. I know that. If I don't let go, nothing will change. I can't cling to my comfortable hopes.", He didn't notice a shadow slowly approaching him. "I have to deal with Eren and (Y/n)."
A Titan was behind Armin—who hadn't noticed it—but Mikasa felt a shiver and quickly turned around, looking at Armin with concern. It was too late; Armin felt a tongue enter his mouth, grabbing him and pulling him toward the Titan's maw. For a brief moment, he saw a young girl staring intently at him before everything plunged into darkness. The Titan began to run.
"Armin!", Mikasa screams, causing the others to turn around, gasping as they see a group of Titans amidst the bones.
"Here they come! Reiner!", Connie screams when he sees a Titan running toward Reiner, who quickly defends himself by throwing it aside, but another Titan lunges at him; at that moment, a hand begins pulling his head backward. There were two Titans grappling with Reiner.
Before Reiner could get hurt, Jean fired a Thunder Spear at the Titans, just as Mikasa did. Jean landed on Reiner's shoulder, looking at the bodies of the Titans.
