Chapter 3: Alex  

I don't know where I'm going im just running through the halls. I can't do this. Being in school today is not working for me and I don't know if I can't survive 10 more periods.  

Also I probably made the guy in art think I'm mentally or something. Him calling me babe made me remember the first thing Jared said to me.   

It was before sophomore year I was at a party with Gen and my other friend Danny. We were hanging around Gen flirting with this junior while Danny and I planned there whole future as a joke. Then I felt someone behind. I turned behind me to see Jared Meed the most popular guy in our grade.   

"Hey babe." He smiled at me. I smiled back. We spent the rest of the night talking. It was so perfect.   

That thought made me laugh. Perfect it was fake . A sham. I leaned against the lockers and slid down to the floor.   

I hit the back if my head against the lockers. I didnt deserver this. He's the bad guy here. i didn't do anything wrong and so why am in so mad. Maybe because he lied to me for over a year. Well you know what screw him... Screw Jared!   

Next thing I knew I was storming into the gym right towards the jerk I once said I love you to.    His friend looked over his shoulder at me  and then Jared turned.   

"You!" I pointed at him with fiery in my eyes. I heard him mutter oh shit under his breath. "You jack ass son of a bitch! You know what have fun screwing Maddy. Hell screw the whole school! I'm done with you!" I gave him the middle finger and stormed out.   

He was still in shock so he didn't say anything. And everyone was as shocked as him.   

Once I got out of the gym and into the hallway I started feeling light headed. My adrenaline rush was over now i was feeling sick and really thirsty. I fall to my knees and start holding my head.  

I look down and see the black Nikes. I feel a hand on my back and instantly I feel stronger. He knelt down next to me and I looked up at him. Our eyes met and he had such worry in them.  

I put his arm around my waste and helped me walk to the doors leading outside. I stopped walking.

"Wait where are we going?" He laughed a little and smiled.   

"Home. Your house. Your obviously not well and I'm helping the nurse out by taking you home." He held the door open for me still managing to keep one arm around me, "so which car is yours?"

I pointed to my little white buggie. And we headed in that direction. When we got to the car he asked for my keys.   "No way am I letting you drive my baby!"   

"Your baby?!" He was attempting to hold back a laugh, which by the way he was failing at. 

  "Oh fine here..." Handing him the keys.   

After he had me keys I pulled away from him trying to walk to my car. But when  I took my first step without his support, my legs gave out and I started falling. With impossible speed before I touched the ground he had me. 

  "You ok?" He asked with such worry in his chocolate eyes. I couldn't stop staring into his eyes. They just trapped me in a dream state that was nearly impossible to break out of. "Hello?.... Anybody in there?..."   

Regaining my control of my mind. "Um yea...."

  "Here lets get you home." He opened the passenger door and helped me slid in. He buckled me in, which was completely unnecessary, but I was to drained to fight it.  

A couple seconds later he appeared in the driver's seat next to me. I heard the car engine purr. My eyelids get heavier and heavier. Before we were even out if the parking space I was already drifting into the darkness of sleep.
