Chapter 16: Hunter  

"Hunter! Wake up!" I'm being nudged awake.  

"What! Alex!" Where's Alex?  

"Hunter chill." I turn to Liam and Chase who are giving me strange looks as I stand back up.  

"Alex where is she?" They give me sad looks. Chase throughs me a pair of pants and I put them on.  

"She ... She isn't here. We came as soon as possible. What happened?" Liam asks.  

"I took Alex here. We went for a swim and when we got out four rogues came out of the woods. They wanted Alex. I killed two but then... I don't remember." I hold me head. What happened?  

"Man are you ok? You don't look so good." Chase asked as I look frantically for a trace of her scent.  

"I'm fine now help me pick up her scent." They don't hesitate as we all start searching for her scent.   

"Hunter, there isn't..." Chase cut him off.  

"Wait I got something." Chase yells over by the bushes.  

"Who's is it? Is it Alex's?" I run over to him.  

"No it's someone else's" my heart falls a little, but ill take what I can get. Chase pulls back the bush and there it was, my key to Alex.

  A gold watch. It must have fallen off one of the rogues wrists. I pick it up, turning over in my hand. It leaves a trail of stain on my hand.  

"Is that her..." Liam says as he watches over my shoulder at the watch.  

My answer makes my wolf howl in pain."Blood."      

Alex  

I jump awake, screaming Hunter. I look around, I'm in a small dark room. No windows just a door across from the bed I'm sitting on. Where am I?  

I hear the door creek open and I look up. A man walks in, the light behind him blinds me, so I look away.  

"Alex my dear, what have you done to your leg?" No that voice. I know that voice. It can't be...  

"Mr. Lupus?" I look back up and stare in shock at Hunter's father.   

"Hello Alex." Two other men walk through the door, I don't pay any attention to them.  

"Ho.. Wh...?" I'm so confused this makes no sense.  

"Mac stand the girl up would you? And take her to the other room." I feel Mac take my arm and pull me up. I try taking a step with my left foot, but immediately fall to my knees. "Marcus help him. Just carry her."   

They booth grab an arm each and pull me to my feet again. Dragging me out my cell and we turn left down a brightly lit hallway. We turn into a room that has the letter "T" sprayed painted in white. They shove me into a chair and lock my wrist in.  

I struggle with the second wrist, but Mac bangs into my bad leg. I let down my guard and they get my wrist in the cuff.  

"What's going on?! Where am I?! What did you do to Hunter?!" I scream as they back away from me and Mr. Lupus comes in.  

"What did she just say? What happened to him?" Mr. Lupus snaps at Mac, who started backing up.  

"Well we did as you said but the boy started fighting, he killed Louis and Frank so we had no choice but to fight him..." 

  "Did he get hurt?" Mr. Lupus was screaming now.  

"No we knocked him out. He will just have a headache." Mac was trembling in fear.  

Mr. Lupus huffed in frustration. Then he looks at me with fury in his eyes.  

"You. You are the reason for all of this I should have kill you with your parents!" 

  "What...?" I'm so confused. They said it was a burglar but nothing was taken.   

"I killed your parents and I meant to kill you and your brother but it was to risky." His cell phone rings. He sighs and takes out his phone. "Gag her." He answers the phone. "Son... what's wrong?"  

"Hunt..." They put a cloth in my mouth as I scream for him. I yell and struggle as much as possible. The cuffs start cutting into my wrists but I don't care I keep struggling.  

"I understand ill be home in an hour to help." He pauses as Hunter talks,"ok bye." He hangs up.  

"Mac. Marcus. I'm going out ill be back tonight. Keep her here and don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."He waits for them to nod and leaves.

  I scream and struggle more. I want to see Hunter!    Mac and Marcus turn towards me and my heart starts racing.  

"Marcus help me will put her back in her cell." They unlock my cuffs and grab hold of my arms. Dragging me, once again, to my cell. They throw me in and close the door. And I'm all alone.
