Chapter 28: Hunter  

I open my eyes and am instantly blinded by the sun. I adjust myself so I'm leaning on my elbow. I looks down and see my lovely mate still asleep.   

She is curls up in her blanket, showing her shoulders and arms. Her arms are tucked under her and her hands are at the side of her head. She so peacefully. I take a deep breathe, inhaling her scent. I move closer to her wrapping my arm over her waist.   

I give her a kiss on the cheek and she sighs. She is too adorable in sleep.  

I slide off the bed on my side and find my jeans. After putting them on I rummage through my pockets looking for my phone. Feeling the cold glossy iPhone in my hand, I step outside so I don't wake her.   I dial the Doc's number.

  "Hello. Dr. Gatz's office."  

"Hi it's Hunter."  

"Oh ill get the doctor." I hear a bang and some muffled speaking before the Doc gets the phone.  

"Hunter, what's up?" I take a deep breathe.  

"I claimed Alex. I would like you to come over some time today and examine her. I want to know when she will change."   

"I can be over there after 2 o'clock ? Is that alright ?" I check the clock in the hallway, it's seven in the morning.  

"Yea that's fine. Thanks Doc."  

"Anytime Hunter. Ill see you later."  

"Bye." I hang up.

I can hear Alex shift in her bed, giving me an idea. Ill make her breakfast.

I wake up to the smell of bacon filling my nostrils. It's smells so good. I feel my stomach rumble with hunger, since I haven't eating in a while.  

I push myself up, as the covers fall from my back, revealing my naked body.  

Last night was amazing. I feel so connected to Hunter now that we did it.  

The thought of me being a werewolf puts a smile on my face. I can't wait! It will be like... My dream.  

My dream of me running. It must have been me seeing the future or something. Can werewolves do that? Ill just ask Hunter.  

I get up and search for clothing inside my disaster area I call for my room. I go to my drawer and pull out a pair of underwear, slipping them on. I look for my t-shirt on the floor. I pick up one at my feet and slip it on. It smells so amazing, I get lightheaded at the scent. Pine and ... Sugar?  

Wait why am I getting lightheaded from this? And how can I smell this now and not before? 

 I hear a cabinet door from the kitchen downstairs close, instantly knowing it was Hunter. I place my moms journal under my bed in lockbox for safe keeping. I make my way downstairs and I smile the second I see him.   

He is shirtless in his dark blue jeans, cooking and man does he look sexy!   

"Good morning beautiful." He turns, giving me an adorable smile.   

"Good morning." I give him a cute smirk and take a seat at the counter. I feel like I should help but he seems to have everything covered.   

Ten minutes later we are sitting and eating breakfast together.   

"Oh I forgot to ask. Can werewolves see the future?" He gives me a confused look. "What?"  

"I've never heard of any wolf having the ability. Why?" Never? Woah.

 "We'll I've had this dream for a while, the same dream almost every night. I'm running really fast, to fast to be human, and I turn to see who is with me then I wake up." I take a sip of my chocolate milk then continue to explain, "Then the night you marked me, the dream changed. Instead of looking to my side for a person I looked down and saw paws."  

He didn't say anything for a moment, then looked up at me.  

"That's not something that happens to us. It's something we can ask the Doc when he comes over."  

"Wait he is coming over?" Wasn't he here just yesterday?  

"He said if we claimed our mates then we should contact him. He will be here at two."   

"Oh..." I nod and pick up my and his plate bringing it to the sink. I turn and catch Hunter eyeing my ass.

"Hey!" He looks back up at me.  

"What?" Putting his arms up innocently.  

"I saw that Mr." He gets up from his chair, making his way towards me as I wash the dishes. He wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me into him.  

"I can't help but watch you." He squeezed me tighter as I try to pry him off, "You look so good in my clothing."  

A big smile spreads across my face. I turn around to him, my hands still wet and soapy. He leans down to kiss me but before he does I slip my hands and spread the soapy water all over his face.   

"Ewww..." He starts wiping the water off his face while I slip out of his arms. I start running through the living room. Where do I go?   

I don't know why but I had a feeling that hiding outside would be perfect. I run to the back door, opening it just as Hunter sees me running through the door.  

I sprint outside across the yard to the woods. I'm running faster and faster. I enter the woods in my backyard, branches and thorns scratching my legs but I keep running. I hear Hunter calling my name but I keep running.  

"Alex! Stop!"   

"Oh come on! Your a werewolf catch up!" I'm smile. To think ill be a werewolf soon! I can't wait!   

"A cliff!" I hear Hunter scream.

I turn to face behind me as I break the tree line. I face back and try and stop.  

A huge cliff is feet away from me. I try stopping but my feet don't get the message in time.
