Chapter 22: Alex  

"Alex where were you?" His eyes were full of anger until Hunter picked me up, revealing my injured leg. "Wait what happened? Are you alright?"  

"I'm fine. I was with Gen and a dog ran out and bit me, but I'm ok. I already went to the doctor." He sighed in relief, then helped Hunter with maneuvering through the house with me in his arms to my room.   

We open the door to my room and Hunter walks in. Although almost tripping on a pair of jeans on the floor, almost sending me air borne. But luckily he caught himself. He's clutzy like me! Or my room is a death trap for anyone who enters...  

He places me on the bed, giving me a light kiss on the forehead.  

"I'll text you later." I nod and he leaves. Allen, with a face full of worry, pulls up a chair and sits next to me on the bed.  

"Are you ok?" He asks.  

"Yea I mean my leg is..." He cuts me off.  

"No I don't mean your leg, I mean you seem troubled. Is something on your mind?" Leave it to my brother to notice the slightest details. How can I tell him about the werewolves and stuff? Well he deserves to know, I mean they were his parents too.    

Ok I can do this. I can do this.  

"Alex?" I make eye contact with him. Shit! I can't do this. I can't do this!  

"Um... Ah... Did you um... Ever notice anything unusual about mom and dad?" His face completely changed. He went from a sympathetic look to a more shocked and 'are you crazy' look.  

"What do you mean?"   

"Like... Wolf related?" God I sound mental. He must think I'm insane, he'll put me in the crazy house for sure.   "

How do you know about that?" What?!  

"What? Wait you knew?!" Now I'm sitting up so we are eye level. He leaned back in his chair and let out a deep breathe.  

"Yea for a while. I should tell you the truth now that you know..." What truth? He continued,"That job you think I have is a lie. I go and meet with my mate. She lives in town..."   

"You have a mate!?!" This was crazy! Did everyone know about werewolves except for me?   

"Yes, she is from Hunter's pack. Actually they are cousins..." He laughed a little, looked at me and stopped. I am still in shock,"I wanted to tell you really I did, but I didn't think you knew and I didn't want to bring you into it. It would have been to much to handle."  

"No too much to handle is having five test in one day Allen. You have a mate. You've known about mom and dad but you never told me? How could you! They were my parents too you know, I should have a right to know that thwy were fucking werewolves!"   

I am getting so mad at him. How could he have not told me about them. And lying to me about this job?   

"I know it was wrong but I thought it was the best for you at the time since when they died it was hard for you." He sighed,"Im sorry I should have told you, but please look at it from my perspective." He gave me that look that he always does. I can't explain it but I just can't stay mad at him. As much as I want to, I can't.  

I drop my head down in defeat. I know it was probably the best for me, but still I should have known. Wait...  

"Did you claim her?"   

"What? Alex I don't think..." I cut him off.  

"Did you claim her?" He took a deep breathe.  

"Yes."   

"Wait are you a werewolf?! Do you change and everything now!?" His face got serious again.  

"Alex..." he paused, "I have always been a werewolf."
