Chapter 21: Alex  

"What do you mean strange breed? What was different?" Hunter asked the Doc as I sit there in shock.

My parents weren't werewolves... They couldn't be. I mean then why aren't Allen and I wolves?  

"Her werewolf genes were dormant until she met her mate. Then she became a full werewolf. And then there was her blood, which was quite amazing in fact..."  

"Why am I not a wolf then? What about my brother?" I know he was talking but I wanted to know.  

"Well you would have to meet your mate, and be claimed I'm guessing..." Wait so if Hunter claims me I could be a werewolf?   

"Wait hold on," Hunter says, putting his hands up signaling everyone to stop. "What was that about her mom's blood?"  

"Oh yes her blood, she came from a long line of royal wolves, very interesting reading topic by the way. Yes her blood was amazing, she healed faster, ran faster, and was bigger and stronger then other wolves. I examined her myself. Once her mate claimed her, his wolf changed dramatically. They were supposed to take over the pack, due to their royal blood, but..." He paused and looked over at me with sympathetic eyes.  

"When they were killed." I finished the sentence for him. He nodded and the room fell silent. Then Liam spoke.  

"What about Gen?... I'm worried if I try and claim her what will happen." The Doc shook his head.  

"Liam I don't know the only way you would be able to find out  is if you were to claim her. There is a chance you could change her but it is unknown." Liam nodded and locked eyes with Gen. She seemed mad at him before but now I think she understands everything a little better. "I suggest right now not to worry. Let nature take it's course and when you do decide to claim your mates, then call me." With that he packed up his things and left, leaving us all in silence.   

"Liam can we go to your place please." Gen spoke up first.   

"Yea sure." Liam got up from his chair and went over to the door waiting for Gen. She hugged me and told me she'd call me later. Then both of them left leaving Hunter and I alone.  

Before we talk anymore I have to tell him. I have to tell him about his dad. It makes sense now, Mr. Lupus was power crazy. He wanted to be alpha so he killed off the enemy. I have to tell him though. As hard as it may be I have to tell him.   

"Hunter I need to ..." I hear a creek from the floorboards from upstairs. Shit! I forgot that his dad was still somewhere in the house. I can't tell Hunter here. Somewhere else. 

  "Hunter I need to go... I ... I wanna get out of here go for a drive.... On your bike!" He looked at me funny. Probably seeing right through me, I always have been a terrible liar.  

"With your leg hurt? You still wanna go?" He gets out of his chair and takes a seat next to me on the couch.   

"Yes. I want to go please." I give him my puppy eyes and he gives in.  

"Fine. But if your leg starts hurting promise me you will say something?" I nod and he smiles. He leans in planting a kiss on my cheek while he wraps his arms around me and lifts me up. He walks me outside, to his bike and places me on the back of the vehicle. Hunter puts a helmet on his and my head. He sits down and I instantly grab around his waist.  

"Hold on tight." He starts the engine and I squeeze him tighter not wanting to let go. Not wanting to tell him what I have to tell him.   

Before we pull away from the house, I look up at the upstairs windows and catch Mr. Lupus starring at us. His glare sends chills down my spin. I take a deep breathe and turn away, as we fly down Hunter's street.  

Hunter and I stopped on the side of the road that was surrounded but forest.   

"Um Alex where are we going?" Oh I never thought of that...   

"Um to my house? I think I should see Allen." I should I mean I haven't talked to him in almost 24 hours.   

"Ok," he starts the bike up again, "Hold on." And again we were off, racing past trees and houses at an illegal speed. Slowing down once we turn into my street.  

We pull up to the house and the second we stop in the driveway, the door opens. Allen comes storming towards us.
