Chapter 9: Hunter  

I was getting Alex in trouble in every period. It was great! We were on our way to lunch now walking hand in hand and eyes watching us the whole way.   

To be honest I done care for them watching us. As long as I have Alex I'm happy.   

"Alex?!" I hear a guys voice call from behind us. She turns so I follow. We stare at the dick from yesterday, Jared. "Wh-What are you doing?" He sounded beaten up that Alex and I were holding hands. Alex wasn't answering so I did.

  "We're going out now, so I'd appreciate it, Jared, if you'd keep your distance from Alex." He started laughing, which pissed me off.  

"Why? You scared she still loves me? Because she does she told me that last night at her house." This guy was really getting on my nerves. 

  "That's a lie Jared!" I hear Alex next to me yell. She was so hot when she was mad. "You came over to my house to get me back, but I slammed the door in your face!" Woah! She did that! Not as sweet as I thought.   

"Come on Alex lets go." I start walking away with Alex following. We left Jared standing there in shock. He's just lucky I didn't kick his ass.

We walk into the lunch room. Smelling all this food made my mouth start to water. I am hungry!  

"Where you want to sit?" I ask her. See my betas are coming back this weekend from the base, so I don't have my table to sit with yet.  

 I didn't realize she was pulling me to a table full of girls. Oh shit.  

"Come on I want you to meet my friends." I guess she saw my look of horror and continued."Don't worry you'll be fine." She gave me a reassuring smile.   

"Me worrying? Alex you must be confused me with another guy. I never worry." I gave her a sly smile and she shook her head. We took spots at the table. Oh god help me...

I pull Hunter down next to me at the table.   

"Hey guys!" I say to my friends. They all look up and see Hunter. I watch one by one there mouths drop open. This was funny.  

"Alex, who's your friend?" Morgan ask.   

"Hunter Lupus. And you are?" He talked so smoothly.   

"Here ill introduce you." I say point at my friends from left to right. "This is Morgan, Rach , Bri , and Gen"   

"Nice to meet all of you." He smiled at them. Rach and Bri were in LA LA land staring at him. 

  It kind of pissed me off so I blurted out, "We are dating now." Which broke them from there trance.  

"Wait um what?" Bri asks. Before I could ask Hunter spoke.

  "Yup, Alex and I are dating." He turned and looked into my eyes. He was so dreamy... I can't blame my friends for looking. He was perfect.  

"Oh that's ... Cool." Rach said. They all went back to eating, not knowing what else to say I guess. I mean it is a little odd that I was with Jared just yesterday and now I'm with Hunter. 

"Oh Gen, how was the math test yesterday?" She was about to answer when she looked above my head and was lost. What was she looking at?  

"Hey Hunter!" I turn around to see, what I think is Hunter's friends.  

Hunter stands up breaking his hold of my hand and walking to his two friends.   

"Hey what are you guys doing here? I thought you were coming back tomorrow?"   

"Nah. We can't leave you alone for more then a day!" One said. Their faces looked familiar but I can't remember their names.  

"Ha! I think you just missed me to much!" Hunter said punching the others arm.  

"You wish!" The guy was trying to get Hunter in a headlock. Missed . And then Hunter got him in one.

  "Dude did they teach you anything?" Hunter said letting him go and brushing off his shirt. Man he looked so good today. He caught me staring. Shit.

  "Who's these pretty ladies you with, Hunter?" One said.  

He walked towards me and took my hand. Pulling me up from my chair.  

"This is my girlfriend, Alex" he winked at them probably telling them that I know about wolves and stuff. "Alex this is Chris and Liam." 

  Chris was a tall guy, probably 6'2", but was still shorter then Hunter. He had blonde hair and dull blue eyes. Liam was as tall as Hunter. He had brown hair and green eyes that were off looking behind me. At what?  

I turn and see who. Gen. They were lost in each others eyes. They had the same look as Hunter and I had the first time we saw each other. My wing girl gets a wolf too! Yay!

  "Hi." I smiled.

"What is a cute girl like you doing with this bozo?", Chase said as he pointed at Hunter. i giggled as Hunter punched Chase's arm.

"Here let me introduce you to my friends." I turned around so they can see who I was talking about.

"Chase. Liam. This is ..." Pointing from left to right again. "Morgan, Rach, Bri , and this is Gen."

 "Hey", from Morgan.  

"Hello there", from Bri.  

And a "Hi", from Rach.  

Chase sat down. "Hello ladies."    Liam and Gen didn't say a thing they just kept staring. Awwww how cute!   

There happy moment was broken by the bell ringing and everyone getting up and leaving. Man that was a fast lunch! I barely ate anything. Ill just eat later.   

"See you guys later." Hunter calls to his friends as he takes my hand again. Warmth spreads through me. Man I will never get used to this feeling, will I?  

Just I turn out the cafeteria, I catch at the corner of my eye Liam pulling Gen out of the back cafeteria doors leading outside.       

Hunter and I take our seats in class, obviously next to each other and begin talking since the teacher isn't here yet.  

"So I'm guessing Chase and Liam are your betas?" He nodded. "Hey did you notice Liam and Gen?"

  "I did." He didn't sound to happy.   

"What's wrong?" I ask. He turns to me. His eyes full of... Oh I don't know what but he doesn't look happy.  

"Im getting worried about this whole human-wolf mating thing..." He continues."I have never heard of it before and within a span of two days I found you and Liam has found Gen. There is just something wrong about it." 

  "What's wrong with them being happy?" I don't understand where he is going with this.  

"It's hard to explain..." Just as he says that the teacher comes in. He whispers to me, "We will talk about it later."  And with that class starts and we fall silent, both thinking.
