Chapter 6: Alex  

We drove back to the school in silence. I can't quite wrap my head around today. It's been a roller coaster of emotions. I mean I was dating Jared this morning found he was cheating on me. Lost a friend. Met a guy in the girls bathroom, who by they way isn't a guy but a werewolf! Now we are dating and I'm stuck going back to school to pretend its a normal day?! God I need help. 

 I'm either really stressed out, in a dream that's super life like, or just plain old going crazy. I am kind of hoping this is all a dream a elaborate crazy dream. Well except for Hunter...   

Wait speaking of Hunter, are we now boyfriend and girlfriend?  

"Yea I guess we are..."   

"Wait what?" I'm confused... What are we?  

"You just asked if we are boyfriend and girlfriend and i said yea I guess we are..." His eyes were on the road but he would sneak me confused glances. Shit! I thought out load. That's really awkward.  

"Oh I didn't know I said that out loud..." And I don't know why I just explained my stupidity of not being able to keep my mouth shut. Why is it so easy for me to talk to him.  

"Are you ok? You seem a little ... "   

"Crazy" I blurt out. I literally look like an idiot right now. Might as well tattoo it to my forehead.  

"I was going to say on edge... Are you sure you want to go back to school?"  

"Can we not? If you want you can just drop me off at my place." I really don't wanna go back to school not now. Not ever to be honest. I just want to go home and sleep everything off.

  "Sure. If you'd like I could take you out for ice cream?" Oh ice cream! His proposal was inviting and maybe we could spend some time as a couple, I guess.  

"Yea. I like your idea better." I gave him a smile and he turned the car around towards the center of town.  

"What'll ya have?" The woman behind the counter asked. Just as I was about to say a Cookies n' Cream shake, Hunter was already ordering for us.  

"Two Oreo shakes please." I turned to him in amazement. How did he know my favorite flavor? Or was it a guess?   

"What size?" Oh large! I need it bad! He looked down at me and met my gaze, smiled and answered.  

"Large." Was he reading my mind? Was that a wolf-mate thing? He'll just have to explain while we drink our shakes.  

"I'll go find a seat." I say smiling at him.  

8I walk over to this secluded booth in the back corner of the ice cream place. Just as I sit down, a large Oreo shake is placed in front of me. Without even a second thought I start gulping it down. The Oreo and vanilla all so perfectly balanced. It was heavenly.  

"I suggest you take a breath soon. I don't think you want me to have to perform CPR on our first date." His voice stopped me in mid gulp. Why am I so unladylike when it comes to food?!   

"Yea your probably right." I smiled nervously at him. "Hey how did you know Cookies n' Cream is my favorite?" I lower my voice a little, "Is it some sort of mate-wolf thingy? Wait does that mean you have read my mind this whole time?!" Oh shit i am starting to freak out. I think the stupidest stuff sometimes!  

He started laughing which was not a good sign, "No I can't read your mind. Unless your a wolf and in my pack." He paused. I let out a sigh of relief. " I caught you eyeing at the little girl walking out with an Oreo shake on our way in."
