Superhero Gone Bad

Prologue

     A girl flies from nowhere (or so you think) to come and save the day. A fire has started in an office building and is about to fall over. The girl quickly gets a hold on the buliding, due to her super strength. She sets it right so it doesn't fall, and gets all the people out safely. She sets them on the floor and takes a deep breath, rising back into the air. She goes to a nearby lake and, since she can control water, guides it to the building and puts the fire out.

     The girl stays for a few extra minutes waving and blowing the occasional kiss. You see, she likes attention, but no one knows who she really is. "Jamie! Jamie Night!" a reporter screams. "Can I get an interview?" She politely comes down, but people instantly start to grab for her mask. Jamie shakes her head flying back into the air. She says, "Sorry, but I can't have this." The reporter gets a picture and Jamie flies off, still hearing the cheers.  

   Now, I know what you're thinking. Super heroes aren't real. Well, yeah they kinda are. They just don't like to show themselves anymore. People can get hypocritical these days and it gets annoying. You see, Jamie Night, that's me. I'm Jamie and, last time I checked, I was 100 percent real. Yeah, yeah, I know. Being a super hero is amazing and all, but it gets really annoying. 

   Yeah, I get it, being a super hero has its perks. Powers and everything. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to have a secret identity. Yup, Jamie Night is really Selena Starr, an outcast. Yes I know so dumb. Loved as a super hero, hated as a person. I have only one friend. Did I mention he's a boy? Yeah, so I'm friends with a nerd. So what. 

    Just thought I would give you a little instight on what my 'job' is. I can just imagine my interview for when I try to get a real job. Oh, Miss Starr. What did you do before this? Well, you know Jamie Night? Yeah, I'm her, but don't tell anyone! That would go over so well. I just hope no one ever finds out about who I really am. That would be utter chaos.

    My powers? Yeah, well, not to brag or anything... I can fly and control water and air. I have super strength and speed and I heal really quickly. Seems like a lot, doesn't it? Yeah, I'm not indestructible, you know. Every super hero has kryptonite. Mine is... well, let's keep that a secret for now, shall we? If any of my enemies are reading this, I would be dead!

   So basically, Selena Starr is a well known super hero. And that's me! This is my story. Anything can happen, you know!
