Chapter 29
As I flew off to the HQ, I bought about the plan Dustin and I discussed. At first, he was adamant about me going back to do my part of the plan. But the longer I insisted, the more his resolve faded. I smiled at the thought. He's so sweet. I can't believe he would put his life in danger by helping me.
I swiftly landed in the grass right in the middle of the clearing. I announced my presence by making it rain. Most of the villains came running out. The ones who stayed inside, well, they're in for a rough ride. I smiled cheerfully. "Hey, guys!" I said. They looked at me in distaste. Yes, I'm in my superhero suit again. Earrings, watch, everything. I watched as Fire sneered. It sent a pang into my heart. I really thought he liked me.
"What are you doing here?" Bone Breaker growled. I smiled and waved cheekily. "Just dropping by," I said. Then I put on an innocent face and screamed, "Now!" the military dropped kerosene on the HQ. Before they knows what was happening, I set myself on fire and flew to the top of the building. I sat down and watched as the whole house burst into flames. Then I took all the villains' air away. A few tried to move towards me, but I sucked the air all out of their lungs. Cruel, but just how it has to be.
Then, once the house burnt to the ground, I let them have some of their air back, but not all of it. The air users were too weak to overpower me. I made myself invisible and ran to the edge of the woods. Then I made myself visible again. As they started to chase me, I made my way to the trap. I ran all them right into it. Once I knew they were all in it, I turned around and smiled cheekily.
Once I press a button, all of them will get electrocuted. I will, but I know for a fact that they don't have any healers. Right as I was about to step on the button, Bone Breaker stabbed me. Right in the heart. With kryptonite. I started to sink into the ground, but I knew I couldn't let everyone down. I knew I might die because of it, but I had to. I had to show the town I'm a worthy superhero again. I have to show everyone who I really am. I'm no villain. I'm a superhero for life. As Bone Breaker laughed, I slipped to the ground and used the rest of my strength to slam the button down. And that's all I remember.

I woke up a while later. Huh? Who am I? Why am I here? I started thrashing around on the bed. What kind of clothes are these? A little dress wig no back? Huh? Why is this mask on my face? Then I looked up and saw people. A boy, with brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. A man and woman looking down at me with absolute concern. I backed up a bit. "Who are you people?" I screamed. "Get away from me!"
The boy looked at me, reaching his hands out. He had a mask on, too. I ripped mine off and stared at it. "What the heck is this?" I screamed, getting hysterical. "Why was it on my face?" the woman reached out to take it, maybe even put it back on my face. I screamed, twisting out of the way and throwing the mask at the wall. I screamed again. They were all crying. "What's the matter with you people?" I screamed. "And why are you here? Better yet, why am I here?" The man looked at the woman. "She doesn't remember," he sobbed. "She thought she was giving her life, when she gave her memory." I screamed. "Who are you talking about? Me?"
The boy ran over to me and forced me to puttee mask on. I tried to keep him away, but he was persistent. I finally let him. He sighed, running his hand over my cheek. I jerked away from him. Not out of disgust, but because I liked it. The boy gave me a watery smile. "I'm Dustin, remember?" he said, reaching for me again. I screamed, "What is it with you people trying to touch me?" I opened the door and bolted down the hall. I heard sirens going off. I ran faster. About six people came after me.
They grabbed my arms and legs, tugging me to a stop. I struggled and screamed. "Let me go! Let go!" Then one of them stuck a needle in my arm and I howled. "Get off me!" My voice was low and dangerous. I punched one in the face, making him slam against the wall with a sickening crunch. I laughed maniacally. Then I fell to the floor and passed out.

Dustin's POV
I watched as they brought Selena in. She was unconscious, a small smile on her beautiful face. I started to cry again. She has amnesia. He doctors say it's temporary; something will trigger her memories. I watched as the strapped her on the bed. Arms first, then legs. Her parents were crying like wounded animals. I couldn't stand it, her saying she didn't know who we are, saying she doesn't know all that happened to her.
I watched as her frail chest went up and down. I know now she's anything but fragile. She almost single handedly took down every villain in the town. That's huge. All over the news. They still haven't heard about her condition, and I hope they never do. Selena can't go back to school until she gets all her memories back. I cried harder. I shouldn't have let her go. I should've trapped her in my house and told her to never go; told her I love her. That's right.
I fit two and two together a long time ago. I knew Selena was Jamie for a while. It kind of helps that I always watch her. It's like she's broken now. I still love her, so much. I will try as hard as I can to help her get her memory back. She's not going to stay like this forever, I know it.

Selena's POV
I woke from my dreamless sleep. I was in the same room, only this time I was strapped in. I screamed and started thrashing around. The man and woman were still here, but the boy left. I momentarily stopped moving. Jeez, he looked like he genuinley cared about me. "Who are you people?" I asked calmly. Screaming wasn't getting anywhere, so maybe asking nicely would work. The man turned around. He had a mask on his face.
"Do you know your name?" he asked. I looked to the ceiling and shook my head. "Your name's Selena," the woman said, "And we're your parents." I stared at them. They moved close to me and I screamed. "Help!" I screamed. "Help! They're hurting me!" A few other people ran into the room and said to the man and woman, "We're going to have to ask you to leave the room. She's going to get a psyciatrist and we're going to get her mind stable." They nodded, more tears falling from their eyes.
The other people moved close to me, but I ignored them. The man and woman left the room sobbing. Another woman came into the room. I stared at her. "Jamie-" I screamed. "Who's Jamie!? Who. Is. Jamie!?" She cleared her throat. "I'm going to help you," she said. "Now, how do you feel right now?" I took a deep breath. "I feel bad and I feel like I should know things I don't." She nodded, writing something down. "Do you know who Fire Shooter is?"
My head started to hurt. I moaned. "Ow," I said. "No." She nodded, writing more things down. She came up to me and patted my shoulder. "I think that's good for now," she said. "I'll see you later, okay?" I stared at her. "Wait!" I called. She turned around. "What do you need?" she asked. I felt a tear move down my cheek. "Tell those people in the hall I'm sorry."
